Well, if you have not heard about this experiment by now, it was first brought about in the 30's by Wolfgang Metzger. Basically, long story short, how this works is that you supposedly cut a ping pong in half, place them over your eyes, provide a descent amount of red light in the surrounding area and listen to white or pink noise (aka static noise).

So after about a half hour, because your brain cannot process any images, the sound from the static and the red color (I guess "connect") and they cause that person to hallucinate. Now I'm not sure if I described that process accurately, but the more and more I read about it, the more curious I have become. So chances are I will probably try out this experiment tomorrow or sometime next week. And I was just wondering if anybody has any more information on it, or correct one, or any stories about this topic would greatly be appreciated :)

Oh, and I wasn't really sure where to post this thread, and because this dealt with hallucinations, I thought I might as well place it under psychedelics. But it's really not.

LOL! How is this different from sitting (quietly - minimizing sensory input from all sectors) in a truly and completely darkened room? Because that will produce hallucinations in way under a half hour in almost everyone.

Huh? I actually might try that. You know, they sound to easy and good to be true.
