ROCK LOBSTER!

I was listening to resurrection sunday on the alternative station, I always thought the song was uber-gay, but it never really clicked in until a gay guy I work with confirmed it to me by saying "I hate to say this, but this song is really gay" I just about lost it. it must be really gay for a gayman to find it extremely gay.

I never got the 'unfortunate' message from it, to me he sounded pretty impressed. When I was on the floor at the Kinks show, one guy spent a lot of time just wandering from guy to guy trying to neck with them, and actually had a lot of success. I guess its not much different than necking with a woman, though I know it would not float my boat. My hands would miss their favorite targets.

I wondered about this thread, and what was meant by 'gay'.
I took it to mean songs that sound very much like the artist is gay. Was I wrong?
I like 'if I had a million dollars.', and the band's name seems to rule out the whole gay angle.

If you were more trying to find out what songs I find to be really lame, or that suck really bad, that would be a whole different list.

The band are all guys, and the name 'bare naked ladies', well, if they were gay, bare naked dudes might be a better choice.
I think you are just saying 'gay' and meaning something like nerdy, weak, lame, sucky, whiney, geeky........etc.
I feel gay is not a good word to use if so.

 

I mean the song is gayer than gay. take the most flaming gay man you have ever seen, and if it would make him say something like "god this song is gay". then it must really be.

A friend of mine in highschool named his band 'free beer' for a while for the same reason.

I know what you are saying, I think. The singer sounds very gay. Well, the first post I did had that song, "I'm too sexy...", and all of them are to me, very gay, but most of them I don't mind. Some are just too cheesy, or just dont do it for me, though.

 

if youve seen a picture of them, they have gayity dripping from thier goofy grins. all there songs are gay. and yes i mean homosexual, and yes i mean nerdy. am i dissing gays? i dont hate people, i dont hate gay men. but i reserve the right to make fun of them. i am a pro-creative person, i obviously view the mating habits of gay men to be absurd, which is why im not gay. if i crack a gay joke, im not making fun of a gay man, im making fun of what a gay man does. i feel fairly entitled to do so if i choose. its quite possible that the bare naked ladies, as artist writers, chose to use artistic liscences such as irony and sacrasm in there name selection, madcrappies guess is actually closer to the real story of thier name, but elements of my story were incolved as well.

that is what I thought, well, I think that you're attitude sucks. I am straight, but I don't find gays to be absurd at all, more like persecuted by bullies who cannot bear to admit they have a feminine side.
I agree, you have every right to get your jollies that way, whatever gets you through the night.
