This movie is hilarious. So fucking hilarious I can't even begin to explain. But let me try:

A Japanese family is worried that business at their bed and breakfast will never pick up but when it does all of their guests start dying! And suddenly it's a musical!

    Added claymation insanity!
    Go see it today!
Has anyone? Please tell me what you think.

I saw it in the theater last year. I thought it was good , lots of funny insane stuff in it. Kinda different for Miike, but then all his movies are kinda different.

I adore Takashi Miike, and this is probably his most diverse movie so far. And definety his most charming film..! MAde with a lovely sense of humour and a real joy of life, i love it. :)

I've seen a few like Audition, Ichi the Killer, the MPD Psycho series etc (which I originally got into because I found the original graphic novel at a train station in Funabashi, Chiba Prefecture, Japan).

Ah wow! You've been to Japan, i am sooooo jealous! I'd be interested in reading those myself, as i adore the series. I think it might be the best thing that he's done so far, MPD Psycho. One of my faves, anyway. :H

I would recommend most of his films to you really, but in particular City of Lost Souls, Dead or Alive, and Fudoh: The New Generation. Or if you ever fancy a trip down to the New Forest i'll lend you them. ;)

Yeah, I used to live there last year. I've only really come back to the UK to earn a bit of cash, do my TEFL and head off for a couple of years before returning to Japan.

Dude, I will definately check them out... or if I'm ever passing the New Forest I'll pop round for a cuppa tea :D
