It's a plant... therefore it's variable. Some big thc plants are: white widow, papaya, ice, purple haze, skunk.

    1) G-13 is 28% THC?

    2) Matanuska Valley "Thunderfuck"(AKA Tundra) in Alaska at 36-39% THC reported.

    3) White Russian was gauged at 22% THC.

I don't know about you guys, but I want some Thunderfuck.

When they say 22% thc...it is the percentage of resinous glands eh? not the percentage of the actual thc oil...Cuz there are like two schools. Those who evaluate in the 1 to 5% thc, the other more than 15% and so..

Having 250mg of pure thc with a gram of plant seems kinda ridiculous.

i had alaskan thunderfuck about 5 years ago. it was grown in alaska and brought to us on a special occasion. anyway, it ultimately ranked number 2 on my list of all-time best bud. my experience with white widow from the Dutch countryside is number 1. but of all the other bud i've had in Holland, the "american" bred thunderfuck topped most of them. excellent shit. i would never pack more than a third of a bowl and i'd get completely fried.
    peace.

We're just talking about the average recorded potency of certain plants. What's retarded about that?

i like this thread but honestly its plants people its not exact...obviously they probably grew the tested plants in these super sterile labs with best equipement and someone constantly tending to them so they can get the highest thc percentage.

If you're trying to say that there is no possible way for a pothead scientist to test the THC content of a plant, you're damn wrong. However, it depends on how the plant is grown just as much as what strain it is. From recorded information, one could gauge some weed as higher in THC % than others, but saying that ALL of X strain are Y% is just kind of.. untruthful.

(not a direct response to jo)

I think a more accurate measurement would consist of.. collecting bunches of weed off the streets, from your regular dealers, and THEN testing them. That would be better to represent the kind of shit you're getting.

sorta why this thread is bs. well its not the thread but the statistical content of discussion. anyone ever wondered how they get those percentages? and how they can relate those percentages to other plants? the only thing that any data of this type is valid for is in the plant that it was procured from. if you got 1000 people and weighed their hair, would you be able to make accurate judgement about the portion of ones body is hair? would you be able to say 'red haired people have this % hair, asian people this % hair, etc'? no. because each person will grow their hair differently. the genes only determine the type of hair and the position and density of follicles on the person. just like a species of marijuana will have certain types of cannabinoids, certain number of resin glands, spread of glands, etc, but the amount of thc generated is dependant on environment, pllination, storage before testing, etc.
