I don't like holidays too much, especially Christmas. It's a little too selfish. Sure, some money is okay, maybe a gift that will last a long time (a good article of clothing perhaps?) but generally I don't celebrate holidays.
My family doesn't do presents on Christmas. I think I like this better than if we did do presents. We just cook and eat lots, and make things look christmassy, which I really like. And we go to church. Even me. ^_^
this ones gonna be super awesome radical fresh dope tight jiggy whathaveyou because i just over heard them talking about what i'ma get! YES!!!!
i think that all the holidays are too comercial. we've forgotten that its not about what your getting, its being with the people that you love. thats what i think anyways...
I don't like the idea of giving gifts either. Mostly because it's so stressful to get something the person will like and not just go return. Giving money is so non-personal. I wish Xmas was about being with the people I loved. I don't enjoy being around my family a lot. Sometimes I greatly enjoy the family company, but usually I stay away from all of them. If I had things my way, I'd hang with all of my friends at a house, all nice and cozy, on Christmas.
I totally looked forward to the holidays as a kid more so than now as an adult, but I still enjoy them nonetheless. They're chaotic, but at least we all get together.
