Sometimes while I'm high I get kind of scared when I think about space, it mean it's just so massive and there's SO much we don't know
i'd seen this before, but thanks for the reminder 13 billion years for the light to reach us?! that is fucking insane!!! the speed of light = 670 616 629 mph 1 light year = 5.87849981 × 1012 miles actually i hadn't seen this exact one the 3D thing was cool to say the least i was gonna try to make sense outta that, but the number are way too fucking big i hope i meet aliens someday they are definitely out there no doubt in my mind is there life out there? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAshug2IKaI&feature=channel
ha, this was the first related video that popped up for me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xath6kOf0NE&NR=1
i hope they (nasa) find some before i die. or they (the other life forms) find us. and it'd be cool if they were nice
what's the furthest a spaceship has travelled? we've obviously lauched probes to further off planets but whats the furthest a human has travelled?
never mind.. found my own answer.. the far side of the moon is th furthest a man has ever traveled from earth... and Voyager 1 is the farthest space probe... which was launched in 1977... you would think we could launch something even further.. seeing as technology has obviously changed in the past 30+ years
I think the Voyager Spacecraft have travelled the farthest-and they are still travelling. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voyager_spacecraft The furthest a human has travelled is to the moon (the other side of the moon).
how much of space discovery is hindered by religious beliefs? i mean... if we find other life forms... religion as a whole is destroyed... except for like scientologists.. you would think the iron grip that religion still sorta holds over the world.. has really put a damper on what we could possibly be finding
one of my life goals is to vaporizer a fat bowl in space looking down at mother earth...I would want to smoke a joint or something but no oxygen also if you were to light a lighter in the spaceship, it could explode im hoping by the ear 2020 they will have rides up to space that people can buy ( like plane rides etc ) I will find a way to vaporize in space before I die
i think being in space would be plenty cool enough without weed and i wouldn't think that religion is holding us back that much from finding extraterrestrial life, b/c the people looking for it aren't really religious. but i see your point
the catholic church has officially stated that believing in aliens is acceptable. saw that on the history channel haha
So.. i was watching this thing on how the great lakes were created.. they mention about how the section above the great lakes area was covered by an icecap that weighted roughly 16 billion pounds.. which created an indent in the earths crust.. and over the years its been moving back out.. like the earth grows like 1mm or 1cm a year.. from this indent popping back out.. they also mentioned that this is why the earth is tilted.. so when this indent is no longer there.. what happens? if the earth is no longer on a tilt.. how much will this fuck up earth?
