iv recently come to entertain the idea that the manna this tribe survived on for 40 years was a strain of psychoactive mushroom. thats what thier description sounds like to me.

"And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing..."

they collected manna early in the morning after the dew, and described it as a kind of "rain bread"

this would make sence, as the journey in the wilderness they took lasted 40 years...a whole generation, when moses made that same journey earlier it took him 2 weeks.

it makes sence if they were all tripping and getting lost. and god manifesting to moses as a talking burning bush that wasnt really on fire....that sounds like an epic mushroom trip if ever iv had one. god talks to the trippers in all kinds of non-senceical forms, but still spits truth....and then he brings down these stones with gods writing on them....lol, you can fill in the blanks.
