If you haven't watched this movie in a long time I highly recommend re-watching it. There are so many things you don't catch while watching it as a kid that you pick up while watching it later in life. For example, the scene when Simba sees his father while looking down into the water.. "I know your father," says Rafiki. "My father is dead," answers Simba. "Nope! He's alive. I'll show him to you." The shamanic baboon leads Simba to a pool of clear water. "Look down there." First Simba sees his own reflection, then the face of his father. "You see, he lives in you!" says Rafiki. As a kid I personally never trully perceived what that meant, but now I understand. Anyone else agree with me?
not to seem all dramatic or anything but that's actually a good analysis.. i haven't watched lion king since childhood, but i think i'll put that on my list of things to do for tonight. :2thumbsup: peace, tigerpaw
It's alright but then they start singing and you remember it's got singing all a long and then it's just disappointing.
but I LOVE HAKUNA MATATA!!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejEVczA8PLU"]Hakuna Matata(English) - YouTube
Yeah LK has epic songs. Very nostalgic. When I worked for Disney World I would get families singing Hakuna Matata. Fun times.
hahaha that must have been a trip all in itself working at disney world wow that must have been awesomeeeee! lol
lol, it's so weird watching these old Disney movies that i haven't seen since i was little. They're so much more different now, they make a lot more sense
My fave all time Disney movie would be Robin Hood with the Foxes and Little John the bear. I bet I could out it on and still know the movie line by line lol But you have me intrigued by Lion King as my oldest is into now. Might have to watch it with him lol
I think my favorite movie growing up was probably The Jungle Book i haven't seen that in forever it seems. But i also loved Lion King and Toy Story, and The Land Before Time!
yes land before time!! the first one is the only one worth watching =] and what about the fox and the hound, or Once upon a forest! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Once_Upon_a_Forest hehe
Its awesome how little kids still watch the same animated movies most of us watched as we were little. I haven't even really heard of any new animated movies coming out for little kids lately, i guess the classics just can't be beat
