wow thats going to be fun, i was planning on doing something like that when i graduated.

Well if you pass through western north carolina you should check out this website for waterfalls

    http://www.oldfortcamping.com/waterfalls.htm

And for good hiking trails you should check out the appalachian trails

    i hope this helped!

maybe this is just wishful thinking but who else thinks that forming a group on here to meet up for a roadtrip (granted none of us are cyber-crazies) would be awesome? :)

Yea I've been wanting to travel for years now and I'm finally going to hit the road soon. Turning 19 next month and I'm gunna leave like a week after my birthday. I don't have a car tho so I have to hitchhike but it's better than not taking the trip at all. : )

Hitch hiking used to be a pretty cool way to get from point a to point b

Yea it seems pretty sweet but I'll see how it really is soon. Probably a lot of waiting. I live in New jersey and it's illegal to hitchhike there so I have to walk out of the state and try to thumb it a little bit when there are no cops around but I'm not going to sit and wait for a ride or ill probably get arrested. This is the one part that blows about my plan. New Jersey isn't too big of a state tho.

not that ive ever been, but for me hitching seems the way to go.you get to see things you wouldnt necessarily get to see when confined to a car plus you get to meet interesting people from all over the country, not to mention its much cheaper than paying the outrageous gas prices.although,i would never go it alone, due to the fact that im a girl,if i ever met someone willing to go with,id be on the road in a second.
