The Canada forum is NEVER used. I don't know why. Perhaps it's seen as 'uncool'. The U.K people have the U.K forum and the yankees just take over whatever forums they want (no surprise there :)). Welcome to the Canada forum...the new coolest place to be! Come post here. Doesn't matter what it's about. We need to make the Canada forum as pumpin as the others. I'll continue to post in it until it is. Would you like to join me friends? :) Peace

Nope..never been to Canada..I have always wanted to..

I had a friend who went to McGill in Montreal

Also, one of my best hiking buddies is from Quebec..

Oh yeah, and when i was 15, RUSH was my favorite band..

I never liked RUSH. lol. I LOVE 'The Band' though. One of them was my dad's cousin. He use to jam with them all the time. I have this great picture of him jamming with them, their all hair farmers, and my dads best friend is sitting beside him and he's got a Bob Ross style afro that takes up like half the picture.

Quebec is really nice. It's got A LOT of historical places in it. And Montreal I swear is the second best place for food in North America.

Actually, imo, the first place in North America with the best food is the southern states. Mostly New Orleans and Texas. Anything and everything BBQ'ed, catfish, alligator, ribs, etc.

I'm sorry but you couldn't be more wrong about the poutine. Quebec has PERFECTED the poutine. Fort Coulonge and Aylmer have the best poutine in our home and native land. I've actually spent $10-$15 in gas just to go there and get it.

Does the rest of Canada have Beaver-tails or is that just an Ottawa thing?

We have that too "Queues de Castor". I have never had one.

:eek:Toronto and poutine (fries, cheese curds and brown gravy...NOT red crappy bbq chicken gravy)????? No. Sorry.

Our Indian food is awesome as is the Greek fare. I think Toronto's restaurants have vastly improved in the last 5-10 years so I hear. I still don't want to go there. It has such a high-strung stressed out vibe to me.

Was that a serious question? If it was, it is a serving of french fries, with gravy and cheese curds on top. Other toppings can also sometimes be put on top such as onions and ground beef.

Are you saying Toronto poutine is better, I'm a little confused by your wording? If you are, I'm sorry but you're wrong my friend. We just had 'Greek Fest' this past weekend. It was awesome. Chicken souvlaki...mmmmmmm

    I'm from Montreal. :)
I was just shocked that someone would associate Toronto and poutine.

No, it isn't THAT much colder than Chicago. It's cold from about October to March or April. Last winter we had the record coldest day in like 50 years. It was colder than -40 . Plus being colder just means you need to get closer to someone ;)
