So there have been a bunch of threads about individual canidates, but i figured why not have somthing where we can disscusse the current results, news, and dumb things the candidates do/say. Hopefully this will elementate the countless different threads as well. Not sure about you guys, but im am preatty into politics, and like to stay up to date. All im going to say though, is that if you dont follow it, or know what the hell you are talking about P-L-E-A-S-E do not come in here and dumb up the place with your incorrect facts and ignorance that has ruined all the other politics threads. I WILL NOT HESITATE TO TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE RETARTED. With that said. Obama just fucking cleaned up!!! 76-24 in hawai, 58-41 in WI!!! 10 in a row baby! If he gets even a 5% margin in OH or TX this whole thing is DONE. Good ole' bill, i love ya, but you fucked up your wifes campain, and your wifes vagina is about to become more infested with cob-webs then its been since you went out and fucked Moncia.
I personally believe Obama is the anti-christ so voting for him would be voiting for the apocalypse. I think a woman president is a good idea, just not clinton. Right now I am deciding on either Ron Paul or John McCain. Obama keeps trying to win the average person's vote by saying "I will get our troops out of Iraq" That would be the worst idea ever. We have stayed there for a long time and just leaving all of a sudden will make us look like wusses. We need to go back to a time where the government played a little roll with both the economy and state rights.
So your saying instead of getting out of a 7 year war which has solved absolutly nothing, and that was started based on lies and abuse of power, we should stay there for 100 years? Cause thats what McCain wants to do. And Paul wants to get them out just as quickly as Obama. And besides, hes not saying that for votes. He is one of the few people who recongnized from the start that this war was a bad idea. He was right. Hes not trying to win votes, hes saying hes going to implement somthing that he has been trying to do for the last 5 years. It has nothing to do with votes. Its what he believes, and always has. Edit to add: Paul, Clinton, and Obama have all supported the same bill that would start withdrawl by the end of next month. McCain urged Bush to veto this bill. Your all over the board man.
people are dying, and here you are worried about what other people think of you or your country. and "us?" I'm not "you".
there's something by the way mccain looks and talks that bugs me. i dont know, hes more of a bush figure and another old white guy to fuck everything up even more. i'm also for the fact that women should be president, just not Clinton. it would be going in a big circle. George Bush, (Bill) Clinton, George W. Bush, Hillary Clinton...gah, when will it end! im for Ron Paul but everybody knows he's not going to win. so Obama it is! anybody know if i can still vote after turning 18 in April this year?
I think Clinton is one of our worst options.. not that obama and mccain are any better.. but with the troubles we are having in the middle east why would we want a woman to try and deal with countries that believe women have little to no power... i don't see how they would be willing to cooperate when the believe women are to do nothing but procreate and stay at home
unfortunately i believe none of the candidates are really that great for president.. Ron Paul supporters.. i think Ron Paul's ideas are just a little too far fetched and they are ideas that would completely restructure the US.. and we wont know if its for the good or bad until after it happens... like pulling from the UN and becoming a real "independent" nation.. how will that reflect on the rest of the world.. .. getting rid of the federal bank and giving the power of money back to state.. that could leave it open for each state deciding to use their own currency.. theres a mess... your currency is good in your home state but ya go across the boarder and you gotta change out your money for another form of currency.. those are just a few of the bigger ones that i'm afraid of.. because they could really go either way.. and on top of it all.. these are things that could not be implemented within a 4 year term... these are ideas that would take quite some time to put together and get into action
I was on the Ron Paul bus but that bus is about out of gas. If it comes to McCain vs Clinton then I'm voting McCain no problem, yes I'm one of those people who thinks Hillary Clinton is near on par with the anti-christ. Obama vs McCain I'm not sure about, I think then alot will come down to who they pick as VP, especially McCain since if he's elected, he'll most likely be reelected, and let's face it in those 8 years he's probably going to die.
I don't even see how Iraq is an issue in this election. There is no way to get most troops out of there in 4 years without bringing the country to a full-blown civil war. All of the candidates suck, but it seems that a vote for Obama might just achieve something on the social scale. (More education funds, decriminalization, and so on).
Well first of all, they arent cooperating anyway. Second of all, if Iran can have a female president who is one of the most loved political figures in their history, i think it would be okay. If this were the case, i think it would be more of an issue that women in the Army are over there telling them dirrectly what to do, then a figurehead who would go over there a few times a year.
I really dont understand how you can be a Ron Paul supporter, then go to McCain, but not McCain if hes facing someone with the excact same policies as Clinton.
Well if hillary wins i think thats all the proof you need to know your vote dont count for shit and the familys who tend to run this country dont listen to the people.
Word, Jusdino4it, if you really want us to leave Iraq, cool. But, do you really want the Taliban and all those Terrorists groups to reformulate back together so they could produce more terror? Yeah, people are dying, so what? people die every damn day. How many people have died in Iraq, like 4000? In vietnam about 5 to 6000 people died every week! This iraq war is not pointless, this is a must, we need to stop these insurgens so we can have a more peaceful world. Yeah, I don't see any similarity between bush and mccain, sure, they are both republicans but McCain has so much more experience and knowledge within his skull. Hes 72 years old, a pow of the vietnam war(if you recall Bush went awal). McCain is older which is his advantage which makes him the more educated decission. Obama is using his speech ability and his relationship to the black community to make people realize the country needs a change. But as I said, this change will be detrimental to the entire country. Picture hitler in your head, times him by 100 and you have Obama. I'd vote for Ron if he would keep up with the war. I understand his view point of us being the boss of the world but if we aren't going to do it who will? We can't keep letting these assholes bomb innocent people all over religion. If I was president I'd say bomb the entire middle east, all those stan countries to smitherines. There are plenty of other humans out there and those over there can just burn. Of course, not using atomics, but just wave after wave of the biggest bombs we go. Come on, then we could go smoke weed over in kwait right across the street from a 7-11. The apocalypse isn't coming in 2012, i'm tired of people being so negative. Its a new beginning.
I can go to McCain because I disagree with alot of both what he and Obama say, so I need to figgure out which ticket in the end seems better. And if you really think Obama and Hillary have the same policies please watch more debates and read more before you vote.
