What is the oldest thing (non-organic) in your home that you still use on a regular basis. I have a cast iron frying pan from the 1920s.
I think the house itself. Maybe this desk im sitting at too. we got this coal conversion furnace thats jsut fuckin monsterous. its gotta be ancient. i wonder when my house was built or how can i find out?
I don't think that fire is organic. Therefor, I win. You can send me the cookie or the fresh fish at: The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington, DC 20500 Thank you, Friend (who this time will get elected)
Our carpet...from the 70s is all I can think of now...but last year we 'inherited' some various items from an aunty of a friend (the friend is what like 35 years old) everything smelled of cigarettes, even the paper towels, and they were still packaged. And before that, my stepfather 'inherited' all of HIS grandmothers old stuff, lampshades, (bleugh) hankies.....they must have been from like around 1920 or so I guess
The steam-driven time machine... i have used it since 1930, of course it was 60 years old when I laid my had on it but it still works like a miracle
Ummmm something I use? I don't have anything old still in use, but I am the proud owner of a set of wagon-wheels.........
My house is about a hundred years old.....the walls are off plumb and if you put a marble in the middle of the floor it will roll to a corner... We were digging to put drainage boxes near the foundation and foud a couple of glass bottles, the kind with molded printing on them....one was a "Dr S N Thomas Eclectic Oil" bottle.... circa 1901...I use it as a bud vase...no, not that kind of bud...
We have a bowl that was my mums, mums!!!! its really old - i nearly dropped it the other day - so glad i didnt i would be dead.
my red velvet couch that my grandma gave me. she's had it for years and years buried in her packrat mess of a house, she finally dug it out last year and gave it to me. it's gotta be from the 40's. in excellent condition too. right now my friend from indiana is passed out alseep on it.
probably teh house... was built in the 30's or 40's. still has the hookup for a woodburning stove in the kitchen, albeit behind a bunch of cupboards now
Me. nvm. I just realized I'm organic. Oldest? This PC............but it's still organic if the chemistry def is used. Happy now that Confusion has been released again? *L*
