The one bad thing about glass pipes....

they brake so damn easy, so you gotta take extra care....but what if your really stoned and you accidentally drop it, major buzz kill for me.

 

then it won't break. Look for pipes that are blown inside out, that way they are stronger, and won't break if you drop them. They are a bit more expensive, but cheaper than replacing your pipe every month because you dropped it.

 

I gotz a metal pipe with a big bowl, I think I will post it.

 

Buy a small case to carry it in. I have one that is padded so even if I'm blazed outta my mind and drop it, then it still wont break.

AT one of the local pipe shops, the guy that works there will throw a pipe on the ground for you to show you how durable they are.

 

I have a glass pipe and it's sturdy as shit. It's blown inside out. It's a $50 pipe but I got it for $25.

 

I've had this pipe since '78 or '79. Easily over 20,000 bowls.

I threw a glass bong at my wall in fear my parents would find it when I was 12 and it didn't break. They were coming in my room and it was just a spur of the moment thing.

 

I'd say it's when you suck in the ash, that shit sucks and is why bubblers are better. They won't break if you treat em right. Cleaning is a bitch tho.

 

I used to have a pipe that didnt break. I once dropped it onto hard concrete and all it got was a scratch. I ended up giving it to a friend when i moved overseas.

 

Im just buying a giant hookah to solve this problem.

stems can easily and cheaply be replaced... unless your talking about a gong bong

being inside out doesn't make a pipe any stronger, its just the thickness of the glass. you can have non-inside out pipes just as thick as iso ones... just depends on the thickness of the tube the pipe is blown from, and how thin/thick it was blown out

as far as spoons go, a thick quality piece will be very hard to break. i too have seem them literally thrown to the ground only to bounce around and be perfectly fine

 

just make sure you dont drop your bowl and clean it too hard and it wont break. I bought a $50 glass bowl for $8 and gave the guy i bought from a j of some really STRONG shit, but the bowl in the pipe was broke from where he cleaned too hard so I got it anyways and fixed it with aluminum foil.
