Those look great. You did good with the side panel,it lays really flat and looks perfect. What did you put across the top,at the waistline?
Thank you!! I didnt make the tie dye myself. It was fleece by the way... and i didnt put anything at the top, i didnt even hem the top and bottoms which is a big mistake, but i figure its thick and strong.. I did make a lil belt tho cuz the pants, even tho they didnt fit at all before, now their a teeny bit too big around my butt so they slide a bit. But i love them and im never taking them off.
those are so cute, you interested in fixing up a pair of my jeans like that? PM me if you are interested!
Whenever I try to make a panel that goes all the way to the top, I end up making the trousers so big it's not even funny. *angry face* Damn me and my inability to measure! Those are cute, though. You've inspired me to try again!
Zen...you can also cut the waistline out of jeans and replace with it a drawstring waist...that way you can cinch up the waist tighter.
Yeah, that's a good idea. But so many of the jeans I try to do it to are all... Curvy in the hips, so when they're too baggy, I think they look kinda doofy. OoOOh... I have a pair of straight legged jeans that I stole from my brother. Maybe I could do it to them a bit more easily. I shall have to try!
