If anyone has watched tv in the last 10 years you'll notice how many drug commercials we have now. They will talk about how you can fix your 'urinary tract infection' so easy with somelongassnameicantremember, but the side effect of this drug may cause you to feel... -bloating -diarrhea -stomach pain -constipation -swelling in the eyes -hard time swallowing food -finger nails may fall off but please, give your doctor a call to see if you qualify for this great helping drug. "my life changed for the better with..." WTF is everyone becoming a test subject for a new drug because i never see the same one... twice >.<
I've noticed most commercials for new drugs are almost always followed a year or so later by commercials of law firms promising big $$$$ settlements for the damage the drug caused.
It's just a litmus test designed to see how gullible the public at large have become. (And of course a means to get everyone rfid tagged) "If we keep poisoning them, then change the packaging of that poison when they catch on, will they still take our poison?"
Pills sold to patients - Pharmaceutical company makes money Patients get sick - Doctors make money Patients sue the hospital - Lawyers makes money Patient makes some money but their body is damaged and closer to death. The circle continues.
Just saw a commercial the other day and it named off 8 or 9 anti-depressants mentioning if you took these while pregnant and your child was born with birth defects to call this law firm. That is fucked up. If i see the commercial again im going to write down the medications.
I'm sure Zoloft is one of them, I've seen law firm commercials that specifically speak of it causing birth defects. Paxil is another one.
I really don't mind being a 'test subject.' If I feel crappy enough to take medicine, then I don't care about some of the side-effects if it works well! Example: Zyprexa (olanzapine)- the strong antipsychotic from Eli Lilly has kept me out of permanent psychiatric institutionalization in my late teenage years and young adult-hood. I have tried like 5 other antipsychotics, but only this one is strong enough to really eliminate my weirdest paranoia, delusions, and auditory hallucinations. It has lots of awful side-effects, but none of them are worse than living in a padded room away from friends and family for years at a time would be. Believe me, two stays at a psych ward (for only a week each time) scared me away from institutionalization for GOOD. I'll take the extra pounds and tired-ness.
No doubt about it Johnson & Johnson, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck, Bristol-Myers, Pfizer, Wyeth, and Genzyme (to name a few) consider us guinea pigs Hotwater
ive said it once before. Its amazing the pictures you can come up with a few keywords. "fuck nazi robot drugs". a few pages in I found it. hah its missing the "drugs", but I get it..
those are just "possible" side effects :2thumbsup: i dont know man..Id probably still take it because those side effects happen once in a while anyways :d
pharmaceuticals are in it to make money, period. The develop a product and market it. It's as simple as that. Americans have become consuming sheep, never thinking about what they want to do. They'd rather be told by the TV and the internet of what they want and need in their lives. Next, big business and the politicans have moved onto globalization so they can westernize the rest of the world. They want to convince them that they should buy levis and eat at mcdonalds. Doing so will make them more like americans even though those products were not even made here.
Lilly is in my town. Its a huge billion$ corporation. Its bigger then many university campuses. Weekly, I see 'want ads' in the paper looking for drug test subjects. They pay really well too! A couple of my friends are chemists there. I'm always reminding them if they hear of any psychedelic drug tests needing guinea pigs let me know! lol
