    ..was made in Belgium, I guess...but mostly in french with some german

    Anywho, it was a pretty odd movie. I watched it with my gf. I kind of felt bad for the teacher, a little, but she was obviously missing a few screws up there in her head and had some sick desires. It also has one of the most fucked up sex scenes in film history. than again, the teacher is a total bitch at times, if you have seen the movie I am sure you know what I am talking about, with her student..that scene..BITCH! haha

    <spoiler alert don't read unless you saw>
    as for the end, I said she killed herself. did she? my gf disagreed.
    <end spoiler alert>

    Yeah I have the film as well as the novel. I had a French teacher that is just like the chick in the film. I don’t know what her screwing habits were, but she was a real **** and definitely has some screws loose. I had to quite her class after a few lessons.

    The book itself is really weird, I didn’t even finish it.

    I hated that movie. It moved slowly and made no sense. First, she asked this guy to hit her and when he did she got pissed off.
    I can't remember the end of the movie, I saw it so long ago, but it's on my list of bad movies.

    I also hated the film at first, however I gradually began to like it the more watched it. I think that the reason why Erika wanted to get beaten was because she had fantasies on getting beaten that made her horney. However when she actually got beaten then she found out that physical harm was much more painful than she had expected. The great pain that she experienced because of getting beaten was too big to be arousing to her.

    Many people seem to be intrigued by corporal punishment during sex. However I think that most people that want to be beaten in order to get sexually aroused are too sensitive to pain for that kind of business. Therefore if they actually got beaten during sex, they would get hurt too much to get a boner.

    I think that the Piano teacher is slow because it is an art house film. Art house films like to picture life as it is in reality. The fact of life that the film wants to get across is that the path to being content in life is slow and perhaps beyond reach. In reality we want to result to fast methods in order to be content. We want fast movies, fast food and fast ways to satisfy our sexual pleasure.

    Erika in the film is not an exception. She tries many methods to satisfy her pleasure. She watches adult films, cuts herself between her legs, quickly gets a guy and wants to be beaten. She doesn’t go through the slow method to being content. She doesn’t start a relationship with someone and get married after a couple of years of both of them getting to know each other.

    She just picks the methods that promise quick solutions to her problems. However there is no fast solution to anything. The way to reach contentment in life is slow and painful in this post-modern society. However we (and also Erika) like to go for the fast methods in order to be content.

    Hey cool! This guy was my alter ego, as I got banned. Then I got accepted back into this forum, and forgot that Ugali was my name. II could hardly recognise my style of posting.

    Anyway, I rewatched the film yesterday. That teacher does bring back bad memories of bitchy teachers in the past.
