    In referring to more than one computer mouse, what do you use?

    Mouses
    Mice
    or just Mouse - like Moose, Fish, Sheep?

    I have heard each of these used.

    None sound right to me, although I would think "mice" would be correct.

    These are the kinds of things that keep me awake at night.

    when refering to the plural of computer mouse, i tend to use "mouses" although each possibility you refered to are as likely as eachother to be correct.

    How is it grammatically correct? Mice is plural of the animal but that doesnt mean it applies to an object of the same name, although i could be wrong.

    It's true. I actually had a deliema over this at the comp store when I was looking to replace my mouse;

    Clerk: Can I help you?

    Me: Yeah, were are the....(Mice? Mouses?...)?

    Either option sounded silly in my head.

    because it follows a grammatical structure, it's not necessarily limited to the object it pertains to. Most grammatical rules are like that... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_plural explains somewhat, I'll highlight the bit about German-english words (which mouse/mice belongs to)

    mostly because english is such an amalgamation of different languages, it's grammatical rules (including pluralization) depend on the letters in the word and it's ancestry more than the type of object it is
