It's no secret that I love Jessica Valenti and her books. I am in the middle of finishing her latest book, The Purity Myth. So far it's pretty wonderful. Here is a link to a video of her talking about not only her book, but why she wrote the book... http://www.amazon.com/gp/mpd/permalink/mHLTAJGPIYLXU"]Here

    loved this book.
I had to cull 70 percent of my books, but kept this one.
She raises good questions about how females are valued in society.

I started this book not long ago and I'm about halfway through it. I love Jessica Valenti, and I think this book really showcases how women are not valued for their contributions to society, for their intelligence and capabilities, but for what they can offer a man. If you're "unclean" by certain standards, then your mind is unimportant and overshadowed by your decision to "whore around." These are such important issues, and I really look up to Valenti for bringing them out in the open to be dissected and hopefully done away with.
