I am in no way affiliated with the website, but I ran across it just looking up hippie. The owners photographed a bunch of consenting hippie women in the nude. I brought up the issue in the chat room, and most people reacted that it was the worst porn site ever.

I thought about it, and hippiegoddess.com probably is not porn. It is nudity, but it has significant artistic weight, so it therefore is not strictly porn. The idea behind it is that average women are being photographed, in poses that portrays them as attractive. There are several points behind this.

The first is that most sites only use attractive women, most of them with cosmetic alterations to their faces and bodies. Not only is this disgusting and cheap, it promotes the idea that a person must meet a stereotype in order to be sexy. Not all the women on the website are attractive in this sense, but it glorifies different body types. It is about individual female self-confidence and trying to shift people's perception of what is attractive.

On the whole, the website attacks the traditional porn industry and entertainment in general, which showcases very beautiful people at everyone else's psychological expense. Hippiegoddess.com instead shows natural and unmodified women.

Since porn is a nasty issue, one must remember that I am not condoning the industry. I am wanting more thoughts on what strikes me as a form of art.

'pornography' is a bit like chocolate. some people want it all the time, some people crave it occassionally, some like the cheap stuff, some like the fine stuff; some like a chocolate lava money shot

i don't like much porn; usually looks like drug abusers having bad sex

havent been to hippiegoddess in a few years, but i liked it, nothing like beautiful naked girls if you are going to enjoy some 'porn'

I don't consider it porn at all, but I guess it could be called really soft porn. I think it's more art than anything seeing as the body it beautiful.

You know a woman that can just be herself is always an incrediable humanbeing. And any woman that has the strength to not only refuse to buy into all this plastic and artificial hooey and still "bare it all" . Well, in my books she must just be a super woman.

I would love to get to know a woman like that

    Having said that,
We wouldn't have porn if we weren't constantly being fed a message about how evil and dirty the humanbody is and how engaging in sex is deadly.

Even if I believed AIDS was real. I would still tell my grandchildren to have sex without a condom. We need that human contact more in order to grow into health humabeings.

OK, there does appear to be a profit motive. I guess it does depend on whether the models are professionals or just normal people.

I would question hippiegoddess.com motives as to why they need to charge a fee to see photos of naked female models

The motive is to pay their bills. Consider that film equipment, computers, websites put on line and models all require money. The only question is how much are they charging and earning in relation to how much their expenses are.

If they were able to get a free name for the site, free models, etc. Then I'm certain the site would be free or very close to being free.

It's a sad commentary on life. But even when you're a hippie, unless you like being homless or living in a forest, you're going to have to participate in the "system" to some extent in order to meet your basic needs.

That's a very naive assessment of a commercial porn site. They're running it for profit, meaning they charge money for what they deliver. You don't get rich by giving your stuff away for free.

Calling the site "Hippiegoddess" doesn't mean the motivation is anything other than cash.

A term of derision commonly thrown at conspiracy theorists due to the fact that in the 70's, some wore tin foil hats to keep the government or aliens from reading their minds. You know, the idiots that think that our government planned 9/11, faked the Moon landing in 1969, etc. Your AIDs comment fits right into such ridiculous notions.

I realize that I'm a senior citizen and perhaps I'm a little fuddy duddy or even slightly senile. But I have learned a few things in my life.

Some of those the things I learned while lobbying for women's rights and protesting the Vietnam war. Plus there are all those things that I learned as a parent and grandfather. However I believe that in this situation, it's the skills I acquired having been a lawyer for several decades. Those skills being critical thinking and how to apply an orthodox methodology to my logic.

Therefore if you have bothered to read this far, I've noticed that today's youth have an aversion to reading; Allow me to state that there is absolutely nothing true or factual in an argument when its foundations for being true are mockery and ridicule and/or fear mongering.

And in the situation of AIDS,
The entire "syndrom" is marketed on a foundation of fear mongering. The slogan being "have sex and die". And anyone offering a contrary opinion or belief is mocked and ridiculed. More or less in the exact same manner as your "tin foil hat" comment attempted to describe me.

Personally, I like the barter method. But I'm very certain that cash is still the standard method of paying bills and getting ahead in this world.

As for getting rich, who knows? Perhaps they might get rich if they created HippieGoddess-Facebook and sold their user information to the government.
