I spent the entire morning downloading this after reading a couple of reviews, and man, is it a great album! Instead of being blinded by rock n roll like they have been for over 2 decades, they go back to their roots and produce an album that, at times, is even more enjoyable to listen to than Some Girls. I highly recommend it.
poor stones fans have been waiting for centuries for a real stones album. I cant wait to get my hands on this one, agreed!
Oh it's always better than the majority of old bands that are just runnin' after their past glory... and every year the distance with their glorious past grows grows grows and... The rolling stone, them, for the first time since "Tatoo you" they can breath the smell of the good old years...
Not really.. just cause Tattoo You was their best album of the 80s doesnt mean that its a good album.
just listening to A Bigger Bang this for the first time right now...Let Me Down Slow sounds pretty good so far
that I like it...right now it's Streets Of Love...1st time listening to any of these so if I say it sounds good so far, I mean it's better than I expected considering the Stones previous efforts of late
Hey, have you already heard it? I have that album.. and.. oooh! It's so great! I love those Keith's songs.. and the others are also awesome and lyrics.. I must say, those are really good! So what about you? Do you like this album?
oh my dad bought it the other day so it's been on non-stop since then i'm not a big stones fan myself , but i actually kinda like this album. not too bad i must say
I like the album, but to say it is the best since '81 is wrong, Steel Wheels is a damned good album, too. And Voodoo Lounge was good, as was Undercover, actually...
why was the title of my thread changed? geez these forums suck now. You may like them, but the only one of those that can be considered as even a below-average Stones album is Steel Wheels.
I'm pleasantly surprised by A Bigger Bang ,didn't expect the Stones to ever record a decent album again In my opinion Steel Wheels was just as good as Dirty Work Voodoo Lounge rates a bit higher because it had 6 good songs instead of the usual 4 on 80's and 90's stones albums
I am a big fan of The Stones, so I enjoy a lot of there stuff that may not be as "great" as the older stuff that appeals to more people. For instance, "Blinded By Love" is a great tune on Steel Wheels, as are Mixed Emotions, Sad Sad Sad, Slipping Away, etc. You Got Me Rocking is great, as is Out Of Control and Saint Of Me. There are good aspects to all the Stones records.
