I used to love The Simpsons. Haven't really been into them since I saw the movie though, even though the movie was pretty badass.
i stopped really watching around season 10 or so, when they started bringing in big name guest stars and traveling to exotic locations as a substitute for writing good jokes or storylines. the newer episodes are slightly better than those, but it will never be anywhere near where it was in its prime (approximately seasons 2-8). new simpsons are still better than new family guy though.
The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters. I had a long post here and it fucked up and I aint typing it again
^Hahaha I like the old Simpsons episodes. The new ones aren't as good, and I didn't even like the movie.
I watched the film and was like 'wtf???' I actually said that, it was just some weird noise, I was so angry It really was dreadful
if theres nothing else on, i'd watch it. at least they're consistant. not comparing to the old simpsons cuz those were bdass
my post had something about how I hate the first few episodes because the voices are different...especially Homer
Season 3-6/7 were the prime. A slow decline between 7-10 but still the top show in those years. After season 10, it was a quicker decline into shit. Still, a new Simpsons episode is still better than most anything else these days. One of the key episodes which started the decline 1. The whole nonsense about Skinner being an impostor. What an insult to the avid fans intelligence, or even the average fan. It didn't fit in with his character and was a slap on the face to those who had devoted many years and even emotions to the show and Skinner as a person and his development. Also, the continuation of the Skinner/Krapabal relationship, references to Lisa and Nelsons relationship and Maud dying were all contributors to the shows downfall. The whole point of the show is little continuity, or even none. Now, Homer is friends with Ned, Bart isn't as bad and the family is totally different than the first few seasons. Plus we have seen Sideshow Bob like a thousand times now.
I haven't watched The Simpsons since Bill Clinton was president but I find it hard to believe that anyone could get tired of seeing a new Sideshow Bob episode. Also, why does Firefox keep highlighting "Simpsons" as if I spelled it wrong?
The Simpsons will always be one of my favorite shows, even though I don't even watch it anymore. One Sunday a few weeks ago a friend of mine mentioned getting home in time to watch the Simpsons and I was like huh?
I love the Simsons, still better than the rest of the shit on the tube these days. Although I must say that some shows are better than others but they still come up with some good ones.
The Simpsons will always be good, granted the new episodes are shit compared to the old ones. But I mean the Simpsons have been on TV for 21 years, and the new shitty episodes are still better than Family Guy. If you had to do a show for 20 years you'd be out of ideas too.
