Saddam was against insurgents just like we are today. And the American news media told you that Saddam gassed the Kurds.
So that village in all the pictures, the one with the small kid laying dead on the street was staged by our media. Why the hell was it staged?
First point- "so that village in all those pictures, the one with the small kid laying dead on the street". I dont think you can get any more general than that Honky. And why was it staged you ask? you should already know the answer to that question. All you Bushbots are the same: in one ear and out the other. I'm really not in the mood to go over the Bush Administration's agenda right now. Just ask Skip or LuciferSam, LickHERish, Cyberfly, Maxpoxer or one of those other guys to go over it for you but not before giving you nice slap on the face. They know more about it than I do. You ever seen Wag the Dog starring Robert De Niro and Dustin Hoffman? I suggest you go rent it. The US government is definately capable of doctoring photos to use as propaganda infact they do it all the time. and probably all the alot more under this administration You lost this argument a long time ago so just quit while you're ahead. Thanks and Peace
I don't like Bush at all, but unfortunately I like Kerry even less. The guy is a bigger bullshitter than most and the numbers show it. He went public and say that anybody who didn't think our troops should get more money for food and protection etc isn't American, and then turned around and voted againts the bill because he was getting pressured from other party members. Now Bush may not be a smart man, but he's got the balls to do what he says regardless of who dissagree's. Bush gave the U.N an ultimatum for christs sake. Kerry can't even stand up to the rest of his party. So as bad as it may sound, I say Bush for '04, keep a real man w/ a real spine in the office. *Footnote* My favorite candidate would've been Ralph Nader, but we all know no secondary party is going to win.(nor do I think he's actually running this year)
When people say to me "Oh that shit in the paper/news etc is BS, I REALLY know what happened" I wonder to myself how they assume that one source is complete crap and the other is iron-clad proof. It's all point of view and opinions unless you have some hard evidence against it that you yourself collected or saw. Again, that's a bold statement to make based on a conversation w/ a guy who happened to work in the country. How do we know if those peoples "criminal history" were like the "weapons of mass distruction" just an excuse? We don't know the whole picture, we never do, and we never will. But I find it hard to believe that a man who had part of his own family killed because he thought they were a risk, didn't kill relatively innocent people that spoke against his leadership. I think a lot of people, myself included, need to take things with a grain of salt. Just because your mom, dad, friend, uncle or whoever tells you something it doesn't make it 100% true. Everybody factors in religious, political, and theological opinions into these things w/o ever thinking about it. You say that the people loved Sadam, yet atleast part of the "hoodlums" are rising up against their dictator so they're called criminals and shot. You say they loved him yet they raided his house when he dissapeared. They stole millions of dollars worth of silver, gold, guns, antiquities from a man that they considered a good, loving ruler. They loved him so much they tore down his statue before we'd ever even captured him(I think it was before) To speak that definately about something that you've not witnessed with your own two eyes and only discussed with a visiting outsider makes you foolhearty and arrogant in my opinion.
to TheChaosFactor: I admit that my heavy resentment towards the current presidental administration causes me to become over passionate and sometimes overly aggressive. Therefor, through the use of logic you have very easily managed to make many fine points that contradict my arguments. Well done. I on the other hand have little skill in logical reasoning. But I remain passionate in my view that the Bush Administration is one of the worst if not the worst presidental administrations this country has ever seen. Democrat and Republican alike should realize this. That being said it is true I do not have hard evidence it did not happen but no one has hard evidence that it did happen(torture chambers, mass graves, gassing of the Kurds). My uncle and his family did live in Iraq for eight years yet they did not see any of this happen and I definately believe them over Fox and CNN. We are fighting the same group now that Saddam had been fighting throughout his rule: Shiite fundamentalists. Ofcourse he had encounters with Sunni and Kurd rebels as well and so do we. And how do you know that Saddam had his family killed? Do you have "hard evidence" or did Fox tell you that story? I think you misunderstood. I didn't say everyone in Iraq was a hoodlum. When I said hoodlums I meant the fundamentalists. I'm sure most of the looting was done by hoodlums and soon to be hoodlums (people against the Baath party regime) . Every country has citizens that resent the government. Just what do you think would happen to us if we tried to rise up against the government here? same difference. I know what you're thinking-Saddam killed people for even speaking out against the government. Did Fox tell you that also? And actually I think we tore down the statue. We just hooked up some cables to a tank and tore it down basically. Sure there were some people standing around. that comment I made- "anyone else that says otherwise is just plain lying". that was wrong. sorry about that.
Saddam gassed the Kurds in 88 i believe. Since he was our ally in those days, why would we doctor that?
LOL, I recently changed my sig, but you can't prove my previous pics were staged. You people amuse me LoL Sorry if you can't handle the truth.
LOL, again, I laugh. Maybe you need to listen to the radio shows that thousands of Iraqis call into everyday thanking us for what we did and are doing for them. Maybe you are the one who needs to do your homework. Maybe you need to get it through your thick head. As for my pictures being staged, there are plenty more where that came from. Just go to any search engine and type the words "positve Iraq pictures" and you'll see them. But I'm sure you'll just keep sheltering yourself from what is really going on.
just curious, do you live in america? cuz if you do then get out! no one is forcing you to stay here. Same goes for you, COSMIC BUTTERFLY.
Oh My Gosh! A Senator who didn't attend all his public committee meetings, say it isn't so! Incredible what you guys will do to try and make Kerry look bad. Can you find something that actually really matters for once?
No you are not laughing. I think your sources are bullshit. Thousands of Iraqi's calling in to thank America? That is utter nonsense. Stop listening to your Christian evangelical radio talk shows. Even if your lie was remotely true their are hundred of thousands of Iraqi's who arent happy with the occupation. I would have a greater chance in believing that you said "Jesus Christ is my sister, we go mars for summer vacation, and Elvis is my mommy". You dont even know any Iraqi's and you are telling me what you attempt to shit out as the truth. That is obscene, and you are arrogant. If you could read Arabic, I would direct you to Iraqi websites..... Luckily your head is not thick, and quite hollow. You are so far gone, that you do not even know what peace is, let alone freedom. It is quite predictable for someone like you to say "If you don't like it, why dont you leave bah bah bah". That is such a weak comeback and you know it. It is a brain fart of the lies that have been fed into your young mind. Welcome to America honey. Founded off of disent and free minds. Sorry that many on here don't like your precious Bush. You need to except the fact that we live in a Democracy. I choose not to fantasize about a wealthy liar, and an immoral human being who confuses weak minds such as yourself. Peace through War concept? Happy dead Iraqi families? Yeah right.
I know a number of people over in Iraq and the general consensus is the Iraqi people are not happy about our occupation. These are friends who signed up for service for our nation - some supported the decision to go to war, others did not. No matter which of them you talk too, they all say the same thing - the majority of Iraqi's do not want us there and feel that we are causing more harm than good. They essentially feel that the same thing will happen the last time we helped them and put Sadam in power - that ultimately their will be continued clashing between shiite's, sunni's and kurds under new Iraqi rule. If you want the truth about the war, you need to listen to people who you know and trust that are actually their living it. How can you and why should you trust what you hear on a radio show?
Here's something that matters: John Kerry voted to send our troops to Iraq And then voted not to support them financially while they're there. Wasn't that sweet?
You are absolutely right, but Kerry didn't make the decision to go send troops to Iraq for oil and personal profits to halliburton and the carlyle group. Kerry didn't betray the country and use the 9/11 attacks as an excuse to do whatever the fuck he wants. Bush feels that ever since 9/11 happened, everything he does is justified by the attack, and since he is president, he can do anything he wants and nobody can get in his way, something people havn't seen since the nixon days and we all saw how that ended up. Kerry isn't a liberal, anti-war, anti-bush's dream, but this election is so important, we can either vote Bush and KNOW what is going to happen the next 4 years, or take a chance with Kerry and MAYBE things will turn out better. Peace and Love, Dan
Do you even know what you are talking about when you mention Nixon days? Nixon wasn't nearly as envasive as people lead him to be. Hell he only infiltrated student groups because Johnson told him they were communists and wanted to stage attacks on the capital. Even then he never arrested anyone. Nixon is the reason we had the clean air act, but Bush is slowly turning that into nothing.
Just so ya know, Halliburton is funding the democrats. Just to cite one example, the Democratic Party has taken more than three times as much money from Halliburton this year ($129,449) as Nader has taken from registered Republicans. Thats from http://madison.indymedia.org/feature/display/18704/index.php, but Im looking for a more widely known news source too. Anyways, I think Kerry is worse for this country than Bush. Sure Bush is evil, but I don't see how Kerry is any different, except for the fact that he can state coherent sentences without a problem. Vote Nader people, Kerry and Bush are the same person, just different names.
Actually i do know what I'm talking about when I say the Nixon days. Sure, Bush and Nixon have big differences, i'm not disputing that. What I am saying is that Bush and Nixon are both presidents who think that because they are the commander and chief, they can do whatever they want and not have to show anybody anything. Nixon thoought because he was the commander and chief, he didn't have to release those phone calls that he made and received. He thought that since he could do anything he wanted, he could send his own men to infiltrate Daniel Ellsberg's office, and the Democratic National Convention's headquarters to find out their strategy. Bush thinks because of 9/11, everything he does involving terrorism is justfified and that everybody will follow him...how wrong he is... Peace and Love, Dan
