If anyone hasn't seen this dystopic satire from 1988, who is critical of society and the government, they need to see it now! John Carpenter has put out some great movies, and this is my favorite. It is so relevant to the mind-controlled society we live in today. You can view the trailer here: http://videodetective.com/trailer-preview.asp?publishedID=806
my brother has this movie in his queue...... he is into weird movies like this..... he likes blue velvet and texas chainsaw massacre, the audition, suspiria..... crazy movies.
I remember seeing that a while ago... Pretty B-Movie like if I remember rightly.. .. and yeah, Roddy Piper lol
I never said that it was critically acclaimed or featured great actors. I could care less about things like that. Yes, it probably would define as a B-movie (and a clut classic). It's a satire and it has a lot of veiled truth to it. It nicely portrays the subliminal world of illusion we are living in.
yah i liked that movie...best quote if i remember it correctly is when he walks into the building and says "i'm here to kick ass and chew bumble gum"
Its more an attack on capitalism than government mind control Rat. Like the original Dawn of the Dead.
