This election makes me wonder...

If winning the Civil War wasn't a big mistake!

Red would win, Republicans definitly have more guns, plus a good deal of the military on its side.

 

Well, I don't know about that. I'm democrat (now) and I've quite the arsenal. (Being from TX originally, you know)

 

Ditto, this has made me think about moving, i love the savannah area, i've always wanted to live there, but would I really be utilizing my efforts to the fullest by living in a place like this? Maybe I won't live here when I graduate, I was thinking of taking a bunch of like minded people and bringing them all here, so that we could pool our efforts? I don't know...the thing is everyone I know(not including stupid sorority girls), around me is against Bush, I think there are too many republicans, voting republican just for the hell of it, and that is why Bush is still president. Republicans vote due to tradition, their party allegiance trickles down from their parents and so forth, even the ones who are intelligent enough to realize the damage bush has done, they are afraid to not vote for him and are in denial... Well I don't know what to do with my future...

My dad could arm a whole squad of snipers with his arsenal of hunting rifles. I could arm myself with a semi auto rifle and one other person with a .357. It's not that democrats don't have guns, it's just that some democrat politicians keep pushing gun control, and the NRA wants you to think that dems all want to ban guns.

 

Yeah, remember how no one could beat the British Empire? Yeah, wow, good thing no one ever tried standing up to them either! Talk about pointless!

 

Sadly, Trippin, we no longer live in the technologically defficient age in which the British Empire existed. Instant 24/7 communications, information and surveillance infrastructure now exists to prevent any delay for the prevailing powers to know who might demonstrate the intent and the organisational capacities to present a legitimate challenge to their hold on power and to eliminate said person (or group) long before they could muster any significant force.

If Webblogs alone can result in unexpected visits by the Feds to otherwise law abiding citizens, what chance do you seriously expect any militant, especially one charismatic enough to lead a cause, might have in organising an armed revolt against the combined forces of the FBI, CIA, Dept of Homeland Security and of course the Pentagon? This is, again, presuming that the local or state police were themselves incapable of nipping it in the bud first.

Get real!
