Has become quite crass. I don't think that it is very constructive to flame someone every chance you get. While I can emphathize with the running out of people like 420GDpimp, ultimately it won't be very helpful towards keeping up the population here. I'm not pointing the finger at anyone, or trying to name names, but I think that it should become evident by the people who flame me on this thread. As I have taken a contradictory stance. A part of me just wants to dismiss such abuse under the pretext that such is the internets, but I think it is important to at least ATTEMPT to try to be caring and understanding. But I have also realized that the anonymity of the internet has given people free license to behave as they see fit, without even one iota of compassion or thoughtfulness of someone elses feelings. I would have to agree with StarTreken that we should probably start a mentor program for newbies, just so that we don't scare them away. And possibly even a sticky at outlining the expected stoners lounge rules, like search button usage, proper grammar, etc. Overall I would like to see more understanding and less flaming go on here, because calling someone names can seriously affect a person, especially if they have low self esteem. (which wouldn't surprise me, given the conduct of posters here.) I know that I can't change a person through my words, but they can only realize change in themselves by careful introspection. I think that we could operate under the pretext of Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect, because I see that these qualities are seriously lacking here. Thank you for taking the time to read.

That may be the best course of action, but I think that those rules would best be decided upon by the whole forum. I'll start I dialogue with a moderator about geting some forum rules stickied once we come to a conclusion.

I do agree with you, I dont often go to this section but just curious to see. Ive been seeing a lot of what you're talking about lately. I came here in 2006 and it was a cool forum but i think most people are talking the "Free speech" way out of hand and hurting people. I know its your opinion but its not right and the whole "peace and love" on this forum, has just been shot to hell. A couple threads I made just asking for advice, I got called every name in the book just because of some bad actions I made, but did i get descent advice? Nope. They just wanted their mean ass opinions out there to make them look like hot shots...

Now I realized most of the 2008 noobs are doing it but I seen a lot of the regs do it too, almost as bad. People are going to still do it, its a shame and I hate to say it, but this forum is being took over by snotty bitches
