This Girl...She's Incredible

Alright...I'm new to this whole "liking the same sex" thing.

Our school Valentine's dance was last Friday. This girl named Elizabeth, who I had met at our school Showcase a couple weeks earlier, was there. We hung out the whole time and during "Your Body's A Wonderland" by John Mayer (my favorite slow song) I asked her to dance. At first, it was just for fun because all the guys at my school are douchebags. But, during the middle of the song I realized 'hey, i really like this girl.' I think she felt the same way because the rest of the night she kept hugging me and holding my hand and playing with my hair (she hadn't done that before) and before we left she gave me a hug and whispered in my ear "I'll become a lesbian for you."

I don't know if she was kidding or not. But, I can't stop thinking about her. She is so...incredible.

Anyways...my point is: How do I find out if she likes me the same way? I don't want to come on too strong or anything. Should I just hold myself back and wait for it to unravel or not? What do ya'll think?

Let time and nature take its course. Don't rush it. If Elizabeth really has feelings for you, take it slow; you've got plenty of time to find out if she's serious. SHE made the first move; let Elizabeth follow up on it. Good luck.

be wary of girls that say they'll become gay for you, i've been burned a lot by getting too involved in those situations. that said, try to hang out with her more and get to know her, if she was that forward when you guys just started hanging out she'll probably follow up on it. does she know you like girls?

Elizabeth is in a different grade than me, but we've been sitting together at lunch and walking across the quad together all week. Her friend called this kid a faggot, and I guess Elizabeth saw a hurt look on my face or something and said "She doesn't mean to hurt you." I have no idea how she knows I'm not straight, but somehow she knows. And she called me "her rachel" the other day, lol. Just thought I'd share that.

I'll keep ya'll posted on my little crush. Hehe!

It sounds like at the very least you have a good friend. There is nothing wrong with that. I want to add my "This is a sweet" to your list with the others that have said so. I bet your heart fluttered when she called you her Rachel. You are a lucky girl to find a friend that accepts you for you & if she is in fact interested in you the way that you are in her that is just all the better. She may be. Have fun, enjoy her company don't be afraid to touch her hand once in a while or her arm, maybe her leg to let her keep knowing that you are interested. You know, the flirty things. When it seems right. Do keep us posted, please. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who likes to hear of a new love unfolding & would enjoy reading of it's nuances.

 

I guess i'm not going to end up being original in this thread at all, because my advice is just the same as everybody else's it seems... But yeah, just let things unfold. Spent lots of time with her, keep giving her the right signals. If nothing else you've made a great friend. And yep, I also think it's a pretty sweet little scenario - my first relationship type thing with a girl when i was 14 was nothing like as fairy tale like!

I had a similar situation not too long ago, before I was "out'. In my case, this girl and I were always eyeing each other in the locker room. We hadn't had the contact that you and this girl did.

At any rate, I invited her for a sleepover and I made sure that I wore something that was sexy and revealing. It didn't take her long to get it off me!!

The result?

Hey everybody! Long time, I know. Things between Elizabeth and I are going slowly. But I know something is there.

We've been hanging out after school, during lunch, and between classes. Today she drew me a picture! I hung it on my wall. :& lol. She gave me a hug and before I could stop myself I said "I love you." I thought to myself 'rachel, you idiot.' But it subsided when I heard her say "I love you, too."

And the way she looks at me. Good God, it sets my soul on fire. Her eyes are just so deep, full of passion.
