Someone posted this on another forum, now while it's a made up story, think about it, it's frightfully realistic in what can happen

Also, one of the replies to this:

We live in a country that makes money off of sending people to prison, hurrah.

Frightfully realistic? Maybe 20 years ago, but I don't think any body's getting a heavy prison sentence for 2 joints. In my state it's confiscation with a 100 dollar fine, they don't even bother to put it on record any more. Probation is a MAYBE, if you're dealing over an ounce at a time.

Yes, that's your state. Now posses weed on school grounds, especially if you have a scale for personal use just to make sure you're not getting beat.

Drug laws across America are getting awfully lenient, I know in other countries they still lash out on offenders for the magic Herb. But as for your conditions there that'd be 30 days or an expulsion at my old school system. But dealing at / having weed at school is not too intelligent anyways.

Drug laws are far from awfully lenient in America, especially in the south and mid west

Isnt the prison rape stuff just a load of shit though..I mean if you were caught doing that to a guy in prison here youd most likely be in hospital by the next day..

Sadly that story happenens to more than a few unfortunates all the time. One of the things I really hate about the US is the prison industrial complex. States put more effort to build new prisons to house non violent drug users (like the guy in the story) than they do to attract new industry. Its getting totally out of control, they imprison people faster than they can build the prisons. Then you hear " well look , its creating new jobs" ,construction, guards, ect. WTF is wrong with that picture, 20,000 grand a year to house each inmate who should not be there any way!

I think prisons are kinda wack anyway nowadays.. I know this dude who has tonssssss of felonies, from drug charges (including selling crack and making meth to gun charges and who knows what else... He's in a wheelchair, though.. so he has never been to prison because the prisons around here can't afford to house a handicap person.. Wtf

Ya probably.. which is fucked up, cause I'm pretty sure its just a matter of time until he kills someone hahah.. He goes to my school, I've bought drugs from him before, but stopped after hes been caught with drugs over 5 times.. never went to jail for it once.

He's dangerous, he really should be in jail. He has a bunch of "followers" who do pretty much whatever he says. He tells them to break into peoples houses and steal shit.. My good friend got a bunch of shit stolen from her house... He is crippled so he can't really rob a house.. he gets people to do it for him

lol no, 60,000 prison rapes are actually reported and documented every year, this is from DoJ itself, human rights groups of which US prisons are a prime cause of concern put the number 2 or 3x higher.

For a good read on how fucked the American prison system is read the first few posts of this thread:
    http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3265318

Basically between going to prison in an American prison and death, you should probably choose death

when you got 8-12 guards trying to controll 1000+ inmates.. a lot slips through the seams

this is incorrect.. all the jails across pennsylvania are handicapped accessible, and medical units there must be some other reason..

Oh really?? I dunno, somebody told me that.. and it seemed pretty legit cause I mean.. he really should be in jail.
What other reasons should there be?
