yay! i'm so happy. i found the most amazing thrift store today, only a 5 minute walk from the house. i got an amazing pair of jeans (multicolor patches, stitching, beading, torn spots...the works) for $3, 2 bras for $1 each, and a beaded wallet for 50 cents. they even had a tricorn hat that i considered getting, just for the fun of it. i paid for everything in change, and the woman working there didn't get impatient with me counting it out. she was so nice...the clothes there are so nice...it was awesome. i fucking love thrift stores.
I can never find anything I like in thrift stores. Everything is just too hippy for me. So I usually stick to a few checked stores and brands I know. Dont hate me now...
i was just kidding. : ) but all thift stores are different, depending on the area. my only complaint about most of the ones i've been too is their lack of hippy-ish stuff. you really can't beat the prices and uniqueness of the clothes though...thats why i love them so much.
There was this cool thrift store in town that closed down. I got my most awesome hat there. I should hit up the Goodwill or the Salvation army soon though, I need more hats.
Yeah..We dont actually have many thrift stores, so thats probably it. Still, I prefer brands I already know.
They are lots-o-fun Never know what you will find... but you do know it will probably be dirt cheap. They get mobbed and raped around here, same with the flea market... a picked through madhouse.
goodwill and salvation army, the last time i checked, had about the same prices as walmart... they kinda lost the thrift factor
no shit. the ones in durango were cool, and the ones in hollywood are awesome. all those studies offloading goods. i have some gorgeous paper lanterns from Memoirs of a Geisha.
I am the queen of thrift stores! They have a free shop in the town next door. You technically have to be a resident, but I know the girl who puts it on so I'm always bringing/picking up stuff there. There are TONS of thrift stores near my college that I tend to hit up 3 or 4 times a week. I wish they were open now so I could go thrift shopping! haha
yeah, apparently nudity of children was illegal in long beach, ca, circa 1980. pfft. damn the man. they woulda taken me from my parents for what? going natural?
