Yep! I definitely have to choose him. He's a genius, his films are original, magical, and just so my style... you know what I mean, by "so my style"? I just love all of his films and never get tired of watching them. He's been my favorite director ever since I was a little girl and didn't even make the difference between fiction and reality.

The first film I saw that was directed by Tim Burton was Beetlejuice! The last one was Ed Wood... I loved both of these films, especially Ed Wood. Last night I watched Big Fish with my sister, it was the first time she saw it, it was like the 10th time I saw it, and it was just as wonderful as the first time :)

Anymore Tim Burton fans? (I'm sure there are but I just have to ask the question :p)

Big Fish is an incredible movie, filled with life and afterwards I kept the happy feeling for many hours. This movie is with the movie Amelie in the same category, whenever you get gloomy with everything: watch this movie :)

i totally agree, i never realized it until a few years ago, but he had directed all of my favorite movies...pee wee's big adventure, beetlejuice, edward scissorhands and the nightmare before christmas...he's absolutely brilliant, he just has a way of creating an atmosphere in his films that is unique and totally identifiable as tim burton

i can't wait for charlie and the chocolate factory

hm yeah, especially because the AKA titel is "Tim Burtons nightmare before Christmas". Well.. it is his story (writing credits for the story) and when Jack sings it's Tim Burtons voice.. plus the gloomy atmosphere and also the whole style is very Burtonish so.. close enough ;) But yeah.. odd.

    IMDB Nightmare before Christmas

IMDB of the director of above movie, Henry Selick

I have to correct you here, velvet, since one of my favorite composers is Danny Elfman, who did the singing voice for Jack! The speaking voice was Chris Sarandon, who's best known as Prince Humperdinck in the "Princess Bride"

OOOhh... you're right.. and I DID know that! Duh.. sometimes I mix up the two apparently because they do so many movies together and all.. thanks for correcting me!

    Proof: (;))
Cast overview, first billed only: Danny Elfman .... Jack Skellington (singing), Barrel, Clown with the Tearaway Face (voice)

OK.. go ahead.. name 15 directors that are more talented according to you and please give arguments instead of just naming 15 random people...
