i have heard rumours that somebody in the united states or canada is making a time machine that we could flle to before the world ends so you can warn the people from the past? do you think they will ever make one? ideas please?
that would be far out if it where true. i think you've been listening to bob marley so much he's getting you stoned through music man
Fat chance buddy. Not in our life time. Besides, one small change in the past will affect our entire future... Probably we all wouldn't be born or at the least, not have the same life that we lead.
YES THEY BUILT ONE but not to avoid armageddon.. but to send agents back to ww2 to stop the building of a secret nazi flying saucer base in antarctica. That sells technological secrets to the west in exchange for human livestock and machine parts. This failed of course because any past travel instantly splits off a new reality that includes result of such time travel.. WHile we in original reality continue on wondering why nothing changed. [see variations of multiverse theory] Why do u think the first saucer reports started in 1947. It took two years to get the first machine working right.. They actually invaded washington in july 1952 to make a point about being threatened by western/ussr nukes. The moon landings waere faked with nazi help. Why bother when these superior racial tpes already have huge bases on the luna farside and mars.. and massive floating arrays in the jupiter lagrange points To this day they breed cyborg SS clones of such complexity that just one could defeat the rainbow 6 team in seconds. It is even rumoured that G Bush is a cyporg/clone experiment gone wrong near sub human levels of reason/ethics and no moral brain activity at all. And purchased by the pentagon to run the country. And C Rice a nazi sex toy cyborg/clone in the 'total deviant' class used only by the top SS leaders. A clever ruse by the illuminati to take the american gov'mt for their own use. Like ive said before-the idea of travelling through time? Exciting, possible... The idea of doing it in a machine? Ridiculous...typical human error. Xx
How far back would we have to go to warn them? Whom would we warn? What would make the people listen? Better yet, how will we know it's time to go warn them?
It is said that if time travel were possible, at ANY time in the future, we would already know about it. Someone from the future would've come back and warned against natural disasters, wars, and the like. I'm not ruling out time travel, but I think even bringing it up is pointless. If it were possible, you can leave me out, thanks. I'm quite happy living in the now.
they already made one. there was this experiment in the 1950's called the philadelphia experiment, attempting to send a small boat back in time based on wave-particle duality and the idea that photons regulate the flow of time. the boat arrived at it's destination 30 seconds before it got there. some of the crew were lodged in the walls and died. those that survived vanished off the face of the planet as soon as they made landfall. the reporter who covered this story was chased by the US government until he fled to canada.
Where did you read this? I'd like to see some articles on that, because it sounds a little made up. Time is an invention of man, anyways. We invented time, so why are we constricted by it? Really, we don't ever have to travel back and forth through time, because there is only one moment, and it's right now.
if and when anyone from our world does, it will be long after anyone remembers there ever was such a thing as the u.s., communism, capitolism, christerism, or any of those things that havn't been arround for more then a few thousand years, (most of them not more then a few hundred). we're not yet anywhere near having the scientific bases to build temporal tecnology on. conceivably such a day could and probably will when we do. yes i used to watch dr who when it was on. and i had a friend who was quite knowledgable about the writings of r.a.willson. more so then i'm ever likely to be. nazi flying saucers from the hallow earth for sueth! it was precisely dr who that gave several of us the idea for the need for, and likelyhood of, there comming to be 'the society for real time', to protest and oppose inappropriate and irresposibly uses of temporal tecnology. and led me to consider the possibility that the familiar timeline we are now one, is at least partialy a resault of 'our' own (ancient) past having been tampered with. Adric day, when everyone wears black chrisantimums, is a holiday they are responsible for having helped create, as a reminder of what can happen. =^^= .../\...
Themnax Oh man..occam spent ages putting that one together..and much of it is from sf books Genesis and Proteus operation... But occam threw in the defective cyborg/clone stuff from his own twisted mind Occam
we could wear black (i'm not even sure now if i have the right kind of flower, it's been a long time and i don't have any references handy unless i go looking for them on the net) carnations and let people wonder what we were up to. they'd probably just assume we were goth's or something. my friend who was way into principia discordia and all that, used to put up posters all over town about that nazi flying saucers from the hallow earth bit, that he made from early mac clip art and enlarged on some sort of copy machine, he ran a copy and graphics shop, that and 'church of the sub genius'. there used to be a 'sub genius' website too. i don't know if it's still up or not. probably still is. these are good memories. this was back in the early 80s in portland oregon. and meetings of PorSFiS; the portland science fiction society. there was a lot of crossover, meaning the same people belonging to two or more of them, between PorSFiS, tfod (the friends of the doctor), and even the local barony of the s.c.a. (society for creative anacronism) i probably need to read genisis and proteus if i ever come accross them again. i just think if we were messed with by time travelers, and as mentioned i feel it's a very good possibility that we might have been, that the messing took place a lot way further back then all that. back before that battle of tours you mentioned in another thread. in a sense there is a functional equivelant of the illuminatus, just not neccessarity as overtly organzed as all that, or even neccessarily all that mysterious, just kind of the consensus of economic interests of corporatocracy. like a think tank of think tanks of the, argh i forget what it's called, i'm tempted to call it gang of eight, you know that get togather to work out trade aggreements that the worlds most powerful economies get togather to hold every however many years that every body protests to try and inform everybody of all the things their misplaced priorities are messing up for everybody. but i don't think it even has to be THAT 'organized', just a way of looking at things that the forces that got bush elected actual represent. even us ordinary folk defacto 'conspire' with each other all the time. it's generaly come to be called 'networking'. so i think it's silly when people try and say conspiracies can't or don't happen or use the word to try and discredit any suggestion that they do. people do have fun getting over the top with that too though, of course. hense steve jackson's illumanatus game, which is kind of fun. in fact it was a couple of people i knew in PorSFiS who turned me on to it, back in that particular 'day'. i think it's pretty obvious that what rumsfield and rove represent are actualy running what the mad cowboy takes credit for, not that he's by any means innocent for going along with it. like hitler should have stuck to painting roses, the bushwacker might have made a halfway decent commishioner of baseball. could time travelers or even b.e.m.'s be wrapped up in all that? anything's possible, though of course nothing more that greed and megalomania are really required to account for any of it. (and i think raygun really did WANT there to be orbital mind control lazers, though the next best thing and slightly closer to reality are military weather control satelites. even then 'control' might be a bit of a euphamisem. but there was a story i read in analog sometime in the early 90s i think it was, called "fixed price war", that a lot of current goings on remind me a little of, especialy the war in iraq and all that) =^^= .../\...
EXCACTLY. There is no way a time machine can be built, whether it be in the past or the future. In an absolute infinite future, in theory EVERYTHING must happen once. Therefore, a time machine must come back to every single point in time, so we would have known about it since man was created (or evolved, in my opinion).
if it's possible, it would stop time completely because the person wouldn't be able to NOT go back in time in the future. or it would have no effect. because honestly, on this planet there are thousands of people claiming to be jesus, claiming to be god, and i'm sure, claiming to be sent from the future. maybe some of them are. and it would be risky, because everything happens for a reason. ever see the butterfly effect? when i was young, i was being annoying and my dad sarcastically told me to quit or he'd kick me into last week. i asked him how long it would take to get there. intruiged, he spent the next few days reading and researching and calculating, and eventually told me "it would take exactly one week to kick you backwards to today". ...and besides, time doesn't exist.
