Well...i just thought up 10 solos i think are amazing

I probably should've voted for Hotel California - Eagles - Don Felder/Joe Walsh it just fits the song so perfectly

but holy damn...Neil Young is just one of the greatest guitarists ever...especailly shows it in this song, and ESPECIALLY on Rust Never Sleeps

there should be an Allman Brothers song on the list ,"Blue Sky" or "Dreams" perhaps? or Duane Allman's solo on Clapton's Layla :sunglasse

I have three unorthodox ones -

Money - Pink Floyd. Awesome feeling in that.
Seasons in the Abyss - Slayer - there's one note in there that sounds like an inhuman howl. It is literally the best note played on any instrument ever.
Neon Knights - Black Sabbath - Tony Iommi may be boring, but that solo fits the song perfectly and it's rather cool.

Stairway to Heaven easily, altho there is some great competition. I was tempted to pick All Along the Watchtower, but i would feel guilty.

What about Eric Clapton's "Layla"??? That is the gretest guitar solo. But from the list I picked "Stairway To Heaven".
