I have been looking around for the best trip toys to have around for my first LSD trip. Right now I have a laser kaleidoscope, silly putty (lots), and my computer among other things.
What is your favorite thing to play with or do during a trip? What would you recommend I get?

Thats a given, but I will use paint or markers, haha, I love painting and drawing regularly, so during an acid trip is a must.

Inova microlights work for me. 2 of those, they're really bright and have multiple setting like blinking and stuff. I've made some people fall over while they were rolling with those.

fireworks... holding a roman candle and aiming it over a lake or body of water and watching it and seeing the reflection... its awesome, . Just don't blow your hand off, that would suck....obviously :p

LEGO.. is there anything better? I love legos, not the stupid kits just the old school variety pack, you can make shit, make things is fun, i made a chair once, not out of legos though, power tools might be dangerous...

A pile of seasoned wood, some newspaper and a pack of matches and some copper sulfate... green bon fire :)

Thanks for suggestions. I might get me a pair of LED gloves after watching a few videos. Or build an 8X8X8 LED cube. I might play a bit of guitar, but I am a novice, and only play simple tabs (wish you were here, lucy in the sky with diamonds, heartbreaker, stuff like that) so I won't feel like jimi hendrix or anything.

Ive wailed on Purple Haze and improvised over Red House, :)

I reccommend simple chord stuff like 'Wish you were here' over melodies/arpeggios like 'Lucy in the sky.'

Could be just me but I find the chord stuff more enjoyable while tripping, easier to follow.

I try to learn chords, but I find it really confusing.
Only chord songs I know are Wish You Were Here and some Flight of the Conchords stuff.

These are fun and cheap and kind of what you were referring to, http://cgi.ebay.com/4x-Color-LED-Bright-Finger-Ring-Lights-Rave-Glow-Party-/140476243038?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20b5095c5e

Also I bought these cheap lil toys to sell cheaply at my vending stand this year for a fest: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110609065893&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_3036wt_1144

I bought ^^ a pair of those at a festival last yr and fell in love, their fun to swing around like poi and cheap!

    I like cheap :)

Being able to play guitar doesn't matter. I once played two notes, bending one of them for like 5 minutes before I realised that it probably didn't sound as good to others as it did to me. I lose most of my guitar skills when I trip anyway. I forget what songs I know.

I pick up pieces of wood, bark, rocks, etc. while I'm hiking, so there are all these whorling, complex natural materials around and also lots of Buddhist art (thangkas, images, and ritual things like vajras, cymbals, and even a kapala).

If youre not a newb and want to play to songs it matters Lol. Its pretty awesome to play along with songs while tripping, I usually slip up here and there but still decent.

Improvising over blues or reggae is fun for me and occasionally noodling around on a few notes like you mentioned or breaking out the effects like delays and phasers is good fun.
