mmm nothing sexier than a grow op...

is that bucket creating co2? (5th picture)

also, your plants appear in need of some tweaking of the nutrient regimens.

Sure is, the burns on some of the plants are from touching the CFL's. I would appreciate any info you can give me on Tweaking the Nuits. Currently I'm at a PH of 6.0 and PPM of 500 using ALL the nuits and additives. http://www.futuregarden.com/nutrition/ in Coco and perlite 3/4 to 1/4 mix.

I hope you all had a good thanksgiving I had a decent Festivus (for the rest of us) and let’s leave it at that.
Here goes my second shot at being a secret indoor farmer, I figure this is my make or break grow since I got thru my first which produced results with 4 Female plants that I started from seed. This time it’s cuttings so I know up front I got gals. I started my cuttings on Nov 18 and now I have some nice little plants. I also think I saved a good 3 weeks. I’m making my own distilled water with an in-expensive electric distiller I found on Fle bay. I can make 3 to 4 gallons a day.

looks like you got some nutrient oddities setting in. I never measured pH or ppm of my plants (lacked equipment/lazy), but nitrogen overdosing was my most common difficulty.

you dont seem to be suffering from a nitrogen burn, but its definitely some form of burn. Notch down your nutrient levels a little, and possibly put a teaspoon of mollassas into every 5th watering.

EDIT: your using all the nutrients? (bloom, vigor, grow) at once?
at this point you want to be using primarily nitrogen-based fertilizers until flowering starts.

another idea for next time is to go organic. this is my simple, cheap organic grow method:

    Vegetative state:
mix 1/3 worm castings in the soil
    fish emulsion as primary fertilizer
VERY SMALL side doses of all-round chemical ferts (i use 10-15-10 shultz)

    Flowering stage:
reduce to minimum dose of fish emulsion
liquid kelp (available at most nursaries)
teaspoon of molassas every 3rd watering

    Morning to all,
Yes Rock, I am addicted. Plus I have all this junk so I might as well use it. That water distiller draws a lot of electric 750W to be exact. I will use it as a backup, I find the waste water from the A/C is very clean like under 20 PPM and the plants like it. As Far as changing over my nuits to worm castings and the like, PLEASE I'm sure it's super great but it's too much for me at this point. What is specifically wrong with the shit I'm using? My medium is Coco which this stuff works great in. I just follow directions on the literature, I'll never use one of the additives until my next grow I'm using all but the Bloom right now. But again then, what do I know? I'll post some pics later.

    CD

That's the distiller, I got it for $80 delivered using Auction Snipper on ebay. The distiller comes from China, shit my whole system was made in the Peoples Republic.

I didnt mean to change nuts this grow, merely a suggestion for when you need to restock.

But your plants seem on the beginning edge of getting a burn. try reducing your nutrient levels slightly and see what happens.

Hi again, I have to assume you're looking at the mother which does have a lot of funny looking leaves but all the new growth is fine. In fact I'd love to be able to just cut the top off and clone it, it's a bush. As far as the clones go, I happy with all but one which I might swap out. I do agree as far as notching back a bit on the nuits. I also made a rule where I'm NOT going to supplement by top feeding, just misting with a light solution. I want to avoid salt build up.

    Morning All,
Here are some pics, the first one is the Mother that I used to take my cuttings from. I have to reason that I shocked the shit out of it and it needed time to recover. The new growth looks great. All the clones seem to be doing OK from what I can see. I would be interested to hear some other opinions because it all looks good to me. Please take notice of the extra cuttings in the smaller pots and red cups, I don't want to lose them but I don't want more than one plant in each 10" pot, any suggestions?

    Morning All,
Here is my post for today, my gals have been in the box getting 18 1/2 hours a day. I took Mom out of the box, I don't want her to be a monster so until I find a place for her she is out the box. I'm planing to change the nuits tomorrow and see how it goes.

    Hi all,
I wanted to post some pics of the result of Femming. I have cut all my plants and each one recovered with good results. I know I have a bit of burning on the leaves so I backed off the Nuits 25 percent after removing and flushing each plant.

Hi all, Fimming is basically topping at a very early point. I found this posted someplace and it works. Look at the top of my plants.

    FIMMING A PLANT!
Fimming is actually no different that topping, what fimming does is virtually the exact same thing only your leaving part of the new growth. This only takes of part of the new growth and actually topping the very very new growth which is very hard to see.
What this ends up doing is making it seem as if your getting 4 new tops right next to eachother when its actually only 2 at the very top (like topping) but since it was cut so closely to the next newest set of fanleaves 2 branches which would have formed there anyways seems to make it look like there is 4 new tops.
This is how you go about doing this.
    1. Locate the very top of the new growth

    2. With a clean sterilized scissors, Fold the fan leafs over and cut approximately 80% of the new growth off the plant.
    3. done

As far as my gals go, today is 1 month since cutting day. I've worked my way thru a nuit overload and I'm back on track, These guys have been in the box for 17 days. Notice the last piicture, it's the business end of the autovalve with an added air stone.

    Have a great day

These plants are still very young, these cuttings were taken on the 18th of Nov and hung out in a propergation chamber for 2 weeks before being transplanted. I would say I'm going to keep vegitating for a minimum 4 to 5 weeks total, currently I'm a few days past 2 weeks.

Nicely explaned. Hehe ya starting to learn all the tricks of the trade there cd. Gotta warn though dont trying any fimming or topping on seedly under a month or so coz its extremely stressful on the plant. With mj ya trying to grow or get as many heads as possible especial if ya doing a scrog. Well ya cutting lookin much better then mine although I'm actually trying to keep em from growing lol. Only got 1 main set up sob which my main girls got another 4 weeks to go then my cutting can stretch there legs in there.

    Hi All,
First off I want to wish everyone a happy hoilday and good luck during the next year. As far as my plants go I'm looking forward to an un eventful vegitation. I have 11 plants, 8 in the pots and 3 I'm growing by hand. Currently, I'm at 3/4 of a full nuit load and I'll be increasing it over the next week as I add fluids. The fluids are matined at 60 degrees F, the grow room always has low humidty and constant temperature of 70 W/O the lights on. I give these guys 18 hours of light every day. I'm concerned about space, I have 9 sq feet and 11 plants which is way to many plants. Any ideas. Hey Rock, we are pretty close to each other time wise in that we are both vegging now.

Aww I'm sure your squeeze the extra few in somewhere or have them as mothers. I dont really notice the difference (not in yield, time maybe) in my set up between growing just a few and cramming them in coz plants grow to fill the space provided and dont really grow much extra just coz ya got a few more. Agree happy christmas everybody and hope for a blooming fantastic new year.

    Hi All,
I hope Santa was good to you all. As far as my garden goes. Notice the tall green plants in the rear of my box. They are my best plants and they are being hand raised. I only have 8 auto pots so I have 3 in 5 gallon paint mixing buckets with holes drilled in the bottom. I’ve been feeding them the same stuff as all the others get, I give each one about a quart of fluids from the top each morning. I’m going to top them to bring them down a bit. I’m considering doing a Sea of Green due to the amount of plants in there. Any thoughts on that would be appreaciated. I also notice almost no smell again this time. I’m wondering if the A/C is responsible for that.

Santa was good to me he brought me northen lights crossed with big bud seeds so look 4wards t growing them in the new year. You should.nt get much smell apart from that lovely fresh growth smell since ya vegging but yeah maybe ya ac unit is knocking it out (dont really know how they work so could.nt tell ya on that one). The idea of a sea of green is to grow lots of plants so 2-3 per square foot and turn them over to bloom as quick as possible normaly at about a month of the cutting taking or 2 weeks after pinching or topping.
