True Conservatives voting for Bush?

How can true conservatives vote for Bush and the neoconservatives after the way the government has expanded over the last term?

Well, I don't identify fully with any of these camps, but I think that many so-called "true conservatives" are actually libertarians. Conservatives have traditionally supported strong coercive (military and police) functions of government, while rejecting its regulatory intervention in the economy. Liberals tend to favor the reverse, and libertarians reject both.

But, unfortunately, there are few TRUE conservatives left in this country. Many people in this country are so STUPID and uninformed that they believe Bush is a true conservative. He isn't. He's far from it.

Bush and his cronies are cold-blooded, nazi-loving, imperialistic, hatemongering, warmongering, neocon criminals, who are doing everything they can to make this an Orwellian society and completely rape us of our constitutional rights, in the name of "security".

True conservatives do not believe in pre-emptive wars -- they believe in defensive measures instead of offensive ones. They also do not believe in the destruction of the Constitution and civil liberties, as they are some of the biggest defenders of the Constitution and civil liberties. They also do not believe in corporate welfare like the neocons do.

The two are like night and day.

True conservatism means LESS GOVERNMENT, which is the exact opposite of what is happening under the reign of the neocons who are using 9/11 to their benefit, to instill fear into people, which in turn makes people more accepting of a larger, more militarized government, which is all part of this global government we are gradually beginning to see.

Party Affiliation, Simple as that. People know that Kerry will expand the governemnet too, so they are just as well off with Bush as Kerry. Also they get to keep someone with the republican label on them.

 

republicans expand government with larger military and Murdering forces... democrats expand it with health care for all and etc.

Did you ever consider that not all conservatives are Republicans? Just like not all liberals are Democrats.

 

I've been personally fucked by both parties, so I'm voting "other" (probably green)..so no matter which one gets in and fucks us some more it won't be my fault.

Are you sure Nader is running REFORMED PARTY? I thought that was Pat Buchannon's party. I thought Nader was Independent this time around.

Shane, Huck and Rat are all right. REAL conservatives want a balanced budget, they would not get into personal business like who marries who, they beleive in financial conservatism ect. Bush is a neocon, a very dangerous breed.

Nixon and his paranoia and personal investigations and Raygun and his "just say no" and other policies which get into personal business, and the start of "corporate welfare" in the name of "deregulating" put an end to presidents with real conservative thinking. The real blame started with them.Look at the difference between Nixon and Goldwater ( real conserv) and you'll see what I am talking about.
