Trying LSD again after all these years

Hi all,

Niether my girlfriend or I have done any acid in 17 years. We just got 2 tabs of blotter yesterday. We are waiting for a good time to take the plunge.

I have done it 20 years ago, and basically one tab/square for the trip. Had a good time, laughed a lot, the trip always got more intense/peaked after 5-6 hours. Had a good clear head for days after.

But the problem is that I don't know the potency of the blotter. I have been in trouble with the law resently and don't want anyone flipping out from a bad trip and attracting attention, if you know what I mean.

So my question is: Can we try 1/2 the tab each, wait for a few hours to see what effect it has, if not that potent, can we drop the other half to enhance the effect? Is this a good way to go, or will it mess up the overall effects, as someone told me it would. I was also told that blotter is not as potent now as it was 20 years ago. If thats the case, taking 1/2 might just be wasting it.

I would really appreciate any feedback on this matter.

Yes, taking half a dose is pretty much going to be a waste. It's very true that acid isn't what it used to be. I found a steady connection about 5 months ago, and it's always taken at least 2 blotters to actually trip. There is still potent blotter out there, but it's very, very rare.

 

Yeah, I heard that it's half as potent as 20 years ago, from a few people, but don't always believe what I hear.

What we like in a trip is that swaying feeling, where patterns appear to twirl/weave within each other. Walls tend to melt slowly in a downward direction. Textures appear more exagerated too. There should be a lot of laughter for unknown reasons. Thoughts tend to be playful and happy too.

But we want to maintain our wits about ourselves and still be in touch with reality. Since we are both doing it together and there is no one around, we won't have a babysitter if things get too intense.

But since we have done it several times in the past, know what it's like, and doing just one hit each, should it be safe to assume that doing one hit each will probably give the effects I describe above, and generally should produce a good time???????

Any one else have an opinion on this????? Thanks all....

You MAY get visuals from one hit, but from my experience, it's unlikely. Also, be careful that it's not a research chemical. A lot of blotter these days is a DOx (DOI, DOB, DOM, DOC) which will be very bitter and last a LONG time. As in maybe a couple days long. I would look up some trip reports about the DOx's just in case.

I actually got a couple geltabs for some older (as you can see, I'm 21, obviously I didn't trip 20 years ago) people not too long ago. It was by far the best acid I've ever seen. They ate 1 hit each. I asked them after they were sober again what they thought of the potency, and they said it was about medium strength.

 

I did just talk to someone who did a tab from the batch that I got my 2 tab from. Shes a girl, 25 years old, about 180 lbs. I asked her how strong it was, she was in a rush at the time, hopped in a car and said as she drove away, " I was off for 6 hours and saw ants crawling around on my skin".

I might assume from what she said, that it is not the research chemical that the effects could last for days, being off for just 6 hours. I might also assume it's fairly potent as she saw the patterns resembling ants on her skin.

With this known now, maybe I should start at 1/2 tab.
The big question is: If doing 1/2 tab and not feeling good effects in 2-3 hours, will another 1/2 tab double the effects or would you need the full amount initially, thus wasting it. I just want to be very cautious with recent legal things. But in a way, think that I am overreacting and should just drop one tab each and in the end, could look back and say, "that was cool"????

serious man 1/2 a tab would be a real waste
drop two man... u cant be hesitant dropping the acid otherwise thats just an outline for a negative trip...keep your mind positive remember "theres no such thing as a bad trip" its all in your mind..

 

Sounds good, then! Did you ask how many she took? I'd go ahead and take a whole one. I've tried the whole re-dosing thing, and found that it doesn't work unless you take a decent dose to start with or a bigger dose afterwards. That situation actually made me waste my first 3 trips (where the tabs were $15 each.)

 

Oh, I forgot to mention that, she said she did one tab.

That was the terminology I couldn't spit out, "re-dosing".

So I think I might get a, (I can feel something, but not quite sure what) subtle effect, from 1/2 tab. Doing the other 1/2 later would do nothing more for what I was then feeling. Where as one full tab would probably be a nice light trip for 6 hours.
The same would be apparent for my girlfriend, and 2 tabs ($30) would be wasted
that night. Would this be a fair assumption?

 

Sounds about right. You were overcharged, though. Most doses go for no more than $10. Just so you know.

Sorry, but you're most likely being screwed. Don't feel too bad, my first few hits were $15 each and they were much weaker than the hits I get now for $5. Keep in mind that this is only in my area, though. 15 may be the right price where you're at, but I doubt it.

 

I guess there is no standard price anymore, I remember $5 each, or 3 for $10, 10 for $25 etc. This was always in Mass. so don't know about other parts of the country.

But never around my parts for 10 years or so. Now popped up again. go figure???

well i would definately take a whole dose since u and ur lady have experienced L before and u kinda know what to expect i dont think u guys would have a bad time... i do think that if u take 1/2 hit ur gonna regret it since u spent $30.00 i live n arkansas and when L first became abundant (which has been bout 6 mos ago) $15. was tha going price so i dont think u got ripped if its good L.. we pay bout $10.-$15. for a double dosed sweet tart. but if i get it liquid, i can find it for bout $5-$7 a hit... and fuck all that sweet tart bullshit cause i never REALLY know if i got a good 2 doses or what... i prefer liquid any day)

 

The best doses I've ever seen were the brownish geltabs that went around at All Good. I only got to taste 2 of them. I thought I knew what 2 hits of acid would do. I was delightfully mistaken.
