trying to find volunteer work with animals in Adelaide

Hello I'm trying to find somewhere in Adelaide to volunteer working with animals. Preferably I'd like to find someone to do it with... and maybe drive us there (I'll help with petrol).

Or to road-trip round Australia.

I just want something to do really Looking for friends in Adelaide, too, because I haven't been there long and haven't seen much of the place!

I have a boyfriend who's not really into doing anything much apart from going to the gym... soooooo when I want to go to swimming, exploring or volunteering to help animals, he's not really interested... that, or he doesn't have the time.

Anyway, hope to hear from someone like-minded to hang out with
