Ughy, ugh, ugh.

I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate my new job and I have to go there every day from 7:30-5:00 this whole week.

Why do part time jobs have to suck so very much?

That is my current random thought.

I hate my new part time job too, ugh life is tough.

and loveflower, might be a lovely idea but in the real world you have to take every chance you can get to work for the bread on your table.

 

this is a perennial and unanswerable question.
all the same, i'm still searching for the answer.

I work for this company that makes ornaments. I basically stand in a dusty cement room unpack dirty boxes that have been shipped in from China and India, unwrap the ornaments, put them on a shelf. Then go through a sales list and pull off all the items that are not going to be sold and pack them back up and ship 'em out to their DC.

It's so hot and dusty in there and not to mention you get some freaky bugs in the boxes...I almost have a heart attack when a grasshopper comes by me.

I don't have anyone to talk to either most the people are old or mexican...I have nothing against mexican people it's just I don't know spanish...

It could be worse...but needless to say I miss my job as manager. I loved getting discounts on clothes.

 

Maybe I'll start the Atkin's diet then.

sorry your job sucks. i used to work at a job that i hated. and i think that i have to go back to it soon. i feel your pain.

 

That is true. I would love to quit but I am going to be going to college so I will have endless amounts of bills to pay. My parents said they'd pay for most of it but I don't want to have that hanging over my head.

"No Crystal, you aren't going shopping tonight, we're not paying for your schooling so you can go shopping." I definately don't want to hear that every day.

 

That is true...I hope. My luck I will find a poisonus 3 foot chinese bug in one of the boxes though....

..........yeh I could I how it would suck going from clothing store manager to a warehouse worker and with no one to talk too would make it worse.

.........so what are study for?

 

I'm going for fashion design, theatre, and of course some business classes.
The only one I know the price for is fashion design...it takes 2 years and costs about 15 grand to start and you have to buy about 5 grand in materials every semester...can we say expensive as hell?

 

..........wow that does sound like it will add up quick, thats good that your parents are helping to cover the costs.

 

I know. I have been working since I was 15 though. I have the first year paid for...but I also have to pay for the second year, gas and car insurance, and of course my addiction to shopping. lol

I am truly grateful that my parents let me live at their house for free. Otherwise I'd be completely screwed. I will have about $400 left in the bank after I pay for school. Needless to say...I have to keep my sucky job, that pays 8.50 an hour...god thats sad....

Well, just make sure you kill it, we don't want it mating with any bugs here, creating some new infestation.

 

It's funny you should mention that. I went in today and I was just like "okay there are 20 boxes, I can work through my break and be done by 1:00 and get the heck out of here." I hauled some major ass and was done by one, went into the office and said I'm done, I'm outta here, see ya tomorrow. The boss was like okay you can leave or you can stay here and do more boxes and I will pay you over time....woohoo! That's my usual pay doubled! I was happy...thank god for most Americans being so lazy, for without that all of those boxes would have been in on time.
