i intend on growing in the uk very soon . i've never grown outside before and have been told by many ppl that its hard to grow here. also i've been told that the uk's daylight is to much for the plants to go into flowering. so i been told to get a auto flowering plant eg. lowryder, but i dun want lowryder . i intend on planting a few skunk#1 in mid april and hopeing to harvest around the start of october. any tips or advice is welcome!!! theres no problem with the heat here its just enough during the night so the plants dont get affected from the cold! just the plant going into flowering is my worry+have i chose the right plant? so if any uk growers or any growers from any where no whats best for me then feel free to give advice!!!!!! cheers dave
Cheers Dave!! The guy that can probably help you most is buffoonman. He lives in jolly old England. He has a good knowledge of indoor and outdoor growing - but we haven't heard from him lately. WHERE'S BUFFOONMAN??? Maybe you should look him up and send him a PM, I'm sure he would be glad to help you! We've heard stories (good and bad) about outdoor grows in the U.K., so I'm hesitant to give any advice, other than find buffoonman.
The main thing in the UK is to get your plants in before the end of September as mould is the biggest problem as the cooler weather starts. Hollands hope fits the bill and has been growing outdoors in Holland for 20 years. Start them indoors begining of april. Put them out beggining of may. Slugs and snails will be your biggest initial problem these can be combated with copper tape and slug pellets. Why not fill a dustbin with 75l of compost then repot your plant that has been started indoors into it. Put the copper tape around the top of the bin slugs will not cross it. Other good strains for outdoor Uk growing. Female seeds Maroc or Grapefruit. Sagamartha Stupersonic (finishes first week of september maybee best one ) Hollands Hope. Durban Poison. Remember last weeks of flowering check for mould. Hope all this makes sense as I'm stoned.
