as for uk hip hop stuff, it is getting better, though it really isn't my kinda music, i went to a dizzy rascal concert at my union bar, and i stuck out like a...a....kieran in a hip hop concert! mmmm, tie dyed long sleeve surf t-shirt, jeans with doodlings and long blonde hair, damn i rock! so yah...twas funny seeing dizzy in and around town though...he himself was an ok performer, but the other white rappers were a streak o piss musicly in my opinion

r'n'b makes me cringe...especially from the uk...and im sorry flava but stereotyping people on here as "moshers" isnt correct...hip hop is great...ICA has blacktronica one saturday of every month which is a great night...but its mostly american stuff

I have a great album by a Bristol hip hop outfit called the Aspects... How about telling us about some good UK hiphop rather than just advertising your site and insulting people:)

    oh it's working!
Scuse me, you're chatting about music? Why then all this "you don't belong" "you're not like me" etc. come, come, aint this the hip forum? don't turn it into the wack forum!
Yes i love hip hop, to Menq: MFdoom is also known as mad villan, on his newish album madvillanous. Have you heard the mighty casey? you should track him down.
There's loads of good uk hip hop coming out, the greatest has gotta be jamie liddel, saw him live 2yr ago, i'm tellin you people, he's a genius live. I felt blessed to see it. There's alot of good british stuff- New Flesh from london town, gamma, the infesticons. And if you hate hip hop, check pitman, northern rapper, he hates everything, right up your alley.
Any road, we all like different music, we all like different food, what's the problem?
And you guy's who are bemoaning the influence of USA culture, i take your point, let's listen to some thing truely british, like er.... rock and roll, or we could go morris dancing.
All you detractors, get out your protactors, what angle are you coming from? I admit, the shit seems to rise to the top, i hate most of the chart bullshit, like Kanye West-

"please jesus, help me to be a better gangster, amen"

Hip-hop is poetry and music, where's the harm?
peace & love to you all

im sorry flava...but u really cannot be serious in thinking rock musicians promote death and that they might as well be suicide bombers...i really didnt want it to come down to this cause i like hip hop but what about all these hip hop stars that promote guns by having them in their videos? singing songs about shooting cops and imploying racism?

your just stereotyping...such have i done above...and now you its not nice so stop doing it

hi flava, we've got some unbelievers in here. Lets promise to try and apreciate rock, if they promise to apreciate the hip hop. Midnight by ice T might be a good place to start, it's got a beat from Led Zep, and a rif from black sabbath, and it's far more rockin than the original tunes. Or howzabout, the "7th octave" proffessor griff's new thrash outfit, they do a rockin good version of 'by the time i get to arizona' by PE, saw them last year. Holy Cow!
