hey yall, I just noticed these in my pot with the blueberry that's growing extremely slow. I also noticed that the soil is still moist and I haven't watered her in a couple days. any ideas guys? I'm thinkin maybe the soil is too compacted? Do I need to change out the soil? It's straight miricle grow moisture control.

Dash, anyone can get a few spores but the moisture control stuff isnt the best. If you can get some get better soil like ocean forest in the future I would recommend that. Just pic the shrooms and toss them. Water less and hope the plant picks up speed. Overwatering can be a problem. If in a small pot and can be transplanted in lighter soil you could do so but it depends how big the plant is and how rooted in its pot. Could it be rootbound? BOG

I seriously doubt it's rootbound, unless it's put all of it's energyint growing roots instead of leaves. It's now about 2 and a half weeks since I got the clone, and has just started to show some upward growth. I think somethin is up with the soil tho, I have used the moisture control in a few of my other plants and haven't had any issue, but this one I think it might have gotten too compacted or something, becuase the soil is still wet and I haven't watered in 4 days that I can remember. I'm prolly gonna take it and toss the soil and re-pot it, the pot should be plenty big, it's an 8" pot, can't remember the depth of it, but it's got a nice depth and my 2' plant doesn't have any probs in the same size pot. I'm hopein that it's just that, it's my firs blueberry, and I was worried with the growth that it might be a bad clone or have some bad genes. I'm glad to hear that mushrooms aren't a death nell. :D

ok, so I plucked out the mushrooms, and was going to change the soil out. But I noticed that she has a massive root system. She's in an 8" diamiter x 7 inch deep pot. and I noticed atleast one root as growing along the side of the pot, I don't think I saw any on the very bottom. Is this amout of roots normal? My romulan was about a foot and a half when I transplanted her to one of my really big pots becuase I thought she might be oot bound, but her roots hadn't made it to the walls of the pot at all. If this isn't a normal root thing with blueberry, what could cause the roots to grow soooooooooooooooo much? I guess she really has just been growing roots for the past couple weeks.

So I am confused with her, the soil was nice and wet even tho I haven't watered her in atleast a few days, her roots are very extensive, and she is bearly growing upward out of the soil. (she's grown maybe an inch upwards since I got her about 2 1/2 weeks ago)

It doesn't sound overly rootbound and a long root can grow out before they are rootbound. A transplant without damaging roots will probably increase yields and health. However if just rooted it might be ready to put out now anyways. If the roots are healthy then the plant should do well. Perhaps there is some other problem. BOG
