at its highest for a bloody long time. And i'm job hunting at the moment....does this lower my chances? Ive got a job but i hate so want a new one.....
Well in truth it does not bode well for you to be looking for a job with so many other people being layed off. But it really depends what field you are looking for employment in. Like if you are in some sort of medical field like nursing there is always a demand for them, here anyway. And btw I'm a bit hung over this morning and your sig is making my head spin ugh ! Good luck with your job search. Peace
Be prepared to hold tight for a couple of years, new jobs will be far and few between and also remember it will be a buyers market so wages will also be on the decline, maybe you should look at developing your skill base
i agree, stay where you are. redundancys are jenerally last in first last out with most companys so if you get a job you might find a couple of months down the line you are let go. i hate my job too but at the moment i'm bloody gratful i have a job & its good pay. i'm staying put so i can atleast pay the rent.
Ive been looking for work for bladdy ages. Everytime I go to interview there are about 15 other people all after the same job, and theyve always got more paperwork than me, so thats that
theres no chance of them downsizing, i work for the MOD so its pretty vast and internal job vacancies are a lot easier to get, but we shall see........im putting my application in tomorrow. *hopes for the best*
I'm working. Coming from a historically deprived region I couldn't give a shyte about anyone else's plight. This is measured against those that come from the same area as me. Where I'll do whatever i can do to support them.
there is a real lack of jobs here i've had numeous interviews but again theres loads of people be interviewed and when i asked the employer how i did they say very well but i didn;t get it because i dont have loads of qualifications.
welcome to the stupid economy that is all greed and no society Unfortunately this is a very serious point in time probably equivalent at least in seriousness to the unemployment of the 1970's where upwards of 6 million were unemployed at one time (official figure is 4.75 million at its highest) it took over a decade to get most people back into work
