People in the US say they don't like unions? They're selfish and greedy? No, you've been brainwashed by corporations. Because they are the ones that are selfish and greedy. Unions built this country and unions work. They work for the working class, they help the middle class. And since we can't have socialism, we will always have to have unions for the rights of workers. And the welfare state for the poor.

    Stop being corporate shills.

The US doesn't even have a constitution, and people who believe the sun revolves around the earth are censoring half of reality. There's no point in complaining about it or attempting reason with them. The simple fact is, all the insane rhetoric in the US makes money, for the rich and famous, who stomp on unions, even in foreign countries. Meanwhile, academia refuses to discuss the fact a quarter of their students still claim the sun revolves around the earth, and are rapidly being replaced with AI, that hallucinate all the time.

Im reading about the union for UPS workers. Company growth is stalled while Amazon eats thier lunch. This is the same crew who helped drive Yellow Freight into bankruptcy. Would be nice if unions helped wal mart and fast food peoples. Unions only want to feed from the same monopolistic trough that capitalists do. Isn't our government a beneficial munificient employer?

    Really?
Tell us how the 100 year old International Brotherhood of Teamsters union and UPS association is hurting UPS. Especially as it made $25.3 billion dollars in just the fourth quarter of last year, a 1.5% increase over the previous year's fourth.
Revenue for 2024 was $91 Billion.
Doesn't look like growth is stalled to me.

Yellow Freight has been hurting for years, due to poor management.
    Union bashing doesn't save companies.

The first union was formed in 1794 in Philadelphia. Unions are 231 years old and yet there are still companies in business.
In 1909 the Women's Trade Union League fought against the locking of fire escapes and low wages for workers.
In 1911 The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire killed 146 sweatshop workers due to the locked fire doors the Women's Trade Union League warned about.

What have unions done for the workers in this country? Here's a few examples.

    The 40 hour work week
    Child labor laws
    Vacations
    Sick days
    Workplace safety rules
    Worker’s comp
    The minimum wage
    The two-day weekend
    Health care
    Family And Medical Leave Act
    Work breaks
    8 hour workday
    Overtime pay....
Which ones are you willing to give up?

Republican types dislike ALL of those you mentioned. Those were hard fought for and won against right wing opposition.

Depends on the union. I would know, I have worked in various construction fields and worked alongside many. Some unions cause job loss like when caterpillar packed up and left

I would suggest that that move was a management decision and not a union decision.

Don't know what you're referring to, but Caterpillar relocated its headquarters from Illinois to Texas in 2022 due to high living costs, high taxes, failure of the state to balance its budget and high pension costs.

Caterpillar does not have a defined pension plan for new employees, only a 401k plan.

    Texas has no income tax.
