I started my dreads sept 27 its been about 22 days i think idk. But some are doing good some are not. There still pretty loose but tight at the same time. I have ton of undreaded hair at the root. I honestly dont see how there going to dread up in some places they seem so loose.

just tell me what you think and if this is good for 22 days. And have any of you had similar problems.

Heres my pics. there not as good as they look.

they super for 22 days. the non tighty one will tighten, just give them more time. i didnt believe in the dreads tightening up at the roots think, cuz my hair just grew straight but if you mess around with the roots, they will lock up nice.

yes ino it will but some places dont seem to knot up very well. Some knot up good but some of mine just really dont do much at all.

Well, they are still young. So give them time and they'll knot up real good. Mine are about a week behind yours, and they have some loose spots, and some that are really knotty too. I kind of twirl the loose hairs and loose-ish bits around my finger to catch it all into one dread, and sometimes put a bead on that to keep it together to encourage knots.

it's only 22 days. it will take months more for some of them to start doing much of anything at all. but they will. just have patience. they're looking fine.

and the one that "wants to break in half" isn't gonna break in half, it's just working itself into a dread. leave it be and it'll be just fine. :)

which will help them tremendously. i think i backcombed mine too tight, it took them a while to start locking up because they weren't moving a lot.

yours look great. they'll be tight in no time.

the day after i finished getting rid of mine :(

they look really good! i also had one that was dreaded and then halfway down split into two,, i got some thread and stitched it to hold it together to try and make it combine but i dont think it worked really (i dont have any beads)

but yeah, they look really good. keep doing whatever youre doin,, defo play with them at the roots and ends maybe (roll em between thumb & finger) it might help them lock/tangle a bit =]

Hey Critik, your dreads look fantastic for being less than a month. Pretty soon they might get FUNKY as hell, like the one with the loop at the root.
