Well it looks like the US Army is getting desperate to get more cannon fodder for Iraq. Now they'll take ppl up to 42 yrs. old as NEW recruits! So all YOU conservatives that come here and support the war effort can now enlist if you're still under 42 yrs. old. So where ARE all the conservatives when it's time to ENLIST to save their country from those HORRIBLE TERRORISTS who threaten their families EVERY DAY??? Maybe they're just all FULL OF SHIT! Yup that's it! Everytime someone's said to one of the conservatives here "why don't you enlist", we NEVER get an answer (unless of course they're already serving). I think they should raise the age further so we can see if Bill O'Reilly and his cohorts want to enlist or whether they're REILLY just effete snobs or just plain hypocritical CHICKENS!
How long you think it will be before they LOWER the age one can enlist? They already prey on young children in schools, promising them all sorts of things if they just sign the paper. After all why should poor children need to finish school, they're just going to be cannon fodder anyway.
Raise it to the roof and draft the cowardly bastards in the administration who can longer use "college deferrment" as an excuse to avoid the front lines they so love sending all the poor and middle class kids to. Better yet, draft every last tosspot in Congress and the meocon stacked Supreme court too and let the whole cabal go fight their own damn war!
i always thought that the army used the african americans as cannon fodder? it would be political suicide to bring in a draft. it would be more likely that they raise taxes and drive more people into poverty who then join the army. see - thats a democracy
