The US has placed the USS Bataan amphibian air carrier strike vessel with 2,000 marines, 6 war planes, 15 attack helicopters, including new V-22 Ospreys, and 27 choppers for landing forces aboard just off Syria's Mediterranean coast. In addition the US has started war games in conjunction with the Ukraine in the Black, Adriatic and Aegean seas.

It looks like the US will also be able to use Turkish military bases for any attack on Syria. The Turks are likewise preparing to intervene in Syria to keep refugees from fleeing onto Turkish soil. They want to create a militarized zone in Northern Syria where the Turkish army will protect refugees on Syrian soil.

Russia and Iran are opposed to US intervention, and the Russians have a new naval base in Syria, so there is a potential for a major flareup, should the Russians or Iranians decide to help Syria...

Only time will tell how this plays out... Surely this puts more pressure on President Assad to resign or make more concessions to the protesters. Thus far over 1200 people have been killed during the protests.

This has the potential to stoke the coals of a fire that was merely 'contained' in modern firefighter lingo.

The military is being used as a tool, not as a defense. This is bad because EVERYONE is watching, and any man with half of an intact brain can see what's really going on here...including the Russians. This is ridiculous. Not only is it ridiculous it's the last thing we need as a country right now. When will this country get a return message of 'Insufficient funds'? If Obama chooses to get involved in this not only will it have repercussions on his run for re-election...it might cause other, more serious complications in world politics. They know the risks of tampering with this situation, if they give the go ahead anyway and things go south it is completely their fault.

The U.S is declaring a marshal law of the world. No one can have a war that we can't have a piece of. War is the cocaine to which this country is hopelessly addicted to. The U.S is the police officer of the world. Not just a police officer, but the alpha officer. An untrimmed goatee, with a beer gut comes to mind. THE one kind of officer you hope to avoid. Arrogant, a negative disposition to anything it disagrees with, and a perverted rationalized sense of 'doing the right thing'. Think about that for a second. A drug addicted, arrogant, muscular, christian police officer with all the weapons he could ever possibly need. He actually believes in his heart of hearts that he is doing the right thing, and is ignorant of the fact that people are getting sick and tired of looking at the flexing of his muscles and the indignation of his rhetoric. Scary shit. Because you know that kind of guy wont stop until someone either kicks his ass or kills him.

Its only a matter of time before people stop putting up with it. Both domestically and internationally. No matter how futile a fight it would be. There will be few supporters of this new addition to the middle eastern warzone. With that, support will drastically drop for the middle eastern conflict as a whole. Down and down in the polls. The numbers will become pathetic. It will be sad to watch because they will continue to kill until unanimous international compliance is achieved. Eventually, the only supporters will be those who command the bomb drops with pen strokes, and those who are enriched from the strokes of the pen. But the bombs will still fall. They will always fall. So long as this fascist government has unlimited credit with which to force its 'peace' on people.

    Sick. Bullshit.

Yeah, more wars, just what we need. Maybe this might go down in the books as the longest U.S. war.

Anyways, wow. I hope this does something to inflict a sense of change in the ever-dormant brains of the people in the U.S. It's ridiculous, the trouble the government is getting themselves into. I hope to God they don't do anything and start another "war" on top of those that we're already in. This country can't take another war and it can't take another minute of the monkey butts that have the power to do these types of things.

Ever since the US set foot in Pakistan, I was convinced thatt World War 3 was underway, I was starting to think that it had started in 2001. The more I hear, the more I think I was right. And I really don't want to be right on this occasion. But this is definitely it. FFS Can't you Americans revolt and save the world already? You have enough fucking guns. Seriously, GET OFF YOUR FUCKING ARSES AND STOP YOUR GOVERNMENT FROM FUCKINGG THE WORLD UP!!! GET OFF YOUR COMPUTER AND STORM THE CAPITOL BUILDING!!!!! I love the way everyone's like "People aren't going to take this for much longer" Well, you've been taking it for 50 years now and it's not going to be a "matter of time" if you can't get out of your cinemas, off you computers, out of your cars etc. DO SOMETHING YOU SONS OF BITCHES

It's the end game my friend. Don't try and stand in front of the tank, because these wackos are just going to run you over. All that will happen is one more dead body will feed the war machine.

So do the only thing you can do.
Talk about love, make love to your neighbors, share what you have with them and teach the children to see this injustice with their own eyes. Because that way our children can see past the false justifications through which the media/propoganda tries to make them believe.

When this over and it will end. It will be our children and their children that have to remake this world. If we teach them to love, they will make it a world of love.

It sure as heck isn't the jews. It's the same mentally sick bunch of greedy hate filled people that it's always been. And that group is comprised of Jews, Christians, Muslims, etc. They jews might be the majority in this group and the might be a minority.

    But from my perspective.
It comes down to them torturing killing us, torturing and killing others and anyone else that they can make a dollar off from.

Any leader who kills his own people because they demonstrate peacefully in the streets made it clear that he needs to be removed. I just don't understand why the US always wants to get involved. What's the personal gain here? And don't give me this zionist shit please.

Aww, but Skip, he deserved it. Sure i could've handled it better, i suppose...

I can't. I don't have a ride, or money, or friends that are actually interested in doing something about this or seeing the truth behind the lying media/government. Plus i don't think my parents would let me :p Very hard to do something about it under those circumstances.

    That's awesome :)

  11. I have just read this piece by leading Syrian writer and former political prisoner Louay Hussein -
"We have to distinguish between foreign intervention and foreign pressure. We oppose foreign intervention but we would like to have foreign pressure based on support for human rights, not the support of a particular party against the other according to their own self-interest."
There is always some ulterior motive when there is foreign intervention. If there wasn't anything to be gained politically or financially none of the big powers would give a fuck!

The money. Always the money. Those who rule allow millions of jobs to be shipped overseas, they want to cut societal safety nets,education--they give billions to Pakistan,Israel,Columbia-ect-ect-.anything that benefits the middle and lower classes is on the table for elimination .Meanwhile ,the war machine goes on with our diminishing tax dollars. When ,oh when will we get tired enough of this continuing clusterfuck of a government to resist them??

armed groups killed 120 police men, you dont expect the government to stand aside and let that continue do you??.

These police were killed when responding to calls for protection by civilians.. Where they were ambushed..

It would be ideally if some other government than the US would feel that need to intervene for a change. Oh yeah, how happy I felt at first when Europe would help the libian people... I'm aware it's all a matter of tactics, international treaties, country's personal gain etc. etc. It's never that simple to just help out and stop the openly murdering of civilians.

They've been killing each other for thousands of years. Do you think that when we leave, those countries will end up any differant than Viet Nam did. It is going to be a another complete waste of human life and the tax dollars they suck out of us ,that we have less and less of. We leave--it reverts. The money, man. Always the money. Of which the working class gets none.

They? This is not a conflict of thousands of years. You mean us humans, I guess? I'm just saying when a leader goes rampage on his own people and they are asking for international pressure and help it should be given.

Edit: I know this sounds evident and probably naive. It's just frustrating how complicated it is, I don't want the US to get involved either. 'Spreading peace and democracy', nobody that's into these matters believes that anymore. There just are more countries who could respond.

The murderous fanatics have forever to get done what they want done. Do we have forever to stop them? It's an execise in futiliy. Can we convert them?(to what?)No. Can we make them stop their murderous ways? No. When is the end? Kill and kill and kill each and every one? Not likely is it? On it goes.

Should we want to convert them? No. Should we kill everyone who commited such atrocities? No. Remove these leaders from their positions and let them be judged by international criminal court. Yes!

It's all lies. Because that's all they do is lie. Rest assured, I don't know what the truth is but I know that if they're publishing it, then it's a lie.

You think if the leaders are taken down, more won't lead? Maybe you think they'll just all of a sudden think"oh golly,we shouldn't have done that--we should just quit killing for our religeon". Homicidal maniacs--true believers -- rarely change their minds.
