Valium + LSD how will it affect you?

Since the half life of Valium can be as long as 100 hours, do you think that it would affect a psychedelic experience for that long? Like if you took Valium on Monday, would it have no effect by Friday.

I have a friend with a prescription, and she would like to get the most of her LSD experience. But many people claim Valium significantly dulls or kills a trip all together.

 

I think she willl be fine. it would only hurt the trip to drop the benzo right b4 the lsd.

Definitely dulls everything.Valium is just a downer and very addictive too

 

I took 7mg of Klonopin (also a benzo with a very long half life) like 2 days before a strong acid trip. It was not dulled at all but I had zero anxiety the entire ride.

 

Yea as long as the effects are gone on your consciousness you will probably be fine. If you want to make sure its proper yea just wait a few days.

 

i had to take like 5mg of kolonapin right as i was coming up on an acid trip, i dont remember the next 2-3 days

 

Yes, benzos will definitely interfere with a trip, but I'd wager residual amounts in your body won't affect a trip the next day, at least not much.

I always keep some xanax (And codeine) around when tripping with groups, especially first timers. Administered half a xanax once, and the person in question calmed down a lot and even managed to fall asleep for a bit.. So no doubt they will impact your trip severely if taken during. Good for those who can't/won't try to steer themselves back on to a positive track, personally I'd rather suffer through a rough patch than screw my whole trip up.

 

Well she was still able to trip well after stopping the Valium for a few days.

 

I think if someone is prescribed benzo and uses it regularly it wont make noticeable difference.

But 5mg of klonopin after acid, I can imagine it fucked you up in a weirdddddddddddd way .
