Are Veggie Burgers at Restaraunts, and Fast Food Restaraunts Vegan, or do they use eggs or milk and shit, like boca does. Peace and Love, Dan
OHHH yeah, Boca uses Eggs in their chicken products, milk and eggs in their burgers, and of course for all their pizza stuff they use regular cheese. They are for vegetarians who feel no guilt in eating dairy, or do feel bad, but eat it anyway. Peace and Love, Dan
i think that there is one boca burger specifically labelled "vegan," and a few other of their products are as well. the bk veggie is vegan if you get it without the mayo (the removed the butter flavoring from the buns.) however, if you don't want it grilled next to the meat, you have to ask for it microwaved. most veggie burgers and other vegetarian options at restaurants and such are lacto-ovo in nature. in fact, most of the people who work at those places have probably never even HEARD of a vegan!
i have a box of boca burgers (which i dont eat because they taste like a hamburger) but it says it vegan are there any other specifically vegan veggie burgers?
I was nonchalantly crusing through Safeway today and noticed that they have their own veggie burger. When I picked up the box to check out the ingredients it looked like it was vegan - at least it didn't have anything that was obviously egg or dairy. Wouldn't it be nice if every food had to have that "contains wheat and dairy ingredients" type of warning on it! I usually get the boca vegan burgers, but I'm not a big fan, so I doctor them up with fixins. Health food stores, co-ops or Whole Foods Markets might have other brands.
Well yeah i know all the Companies that make Veggie Burgers, But I am talking about at Restaraunts and stuff, like Restaraunts Veggie Burgers, for when I am going out to eat. Peace and Love, Dan
Right...well, the last time I went out to eat, I got a gardenburger at the restaurant, and it was the brand gardenburger. I think most restaurants don't make their own from scratch...they either use boca or gardenburger. That's why I mentioned it!
Dammit. I'm giving up eggs so I'm going to have to not eat the damn Boca Burgers. Personally, I like Gardenburgers a lot better, but we have a big box of Boca Burgers from a party we had this summer. I always forget to check the ingredients on these things. I usually would just eat it because it's even more wasteful for it not to be eaten, and I'm not completely eggless anyway, and then give up eggs, but eggs are, like, an addiction to me and if I don't give up that stuff now I probably never will. Sigh. I'll probably just give them away.
Well Check it...If it says Vegan on it, it doesn't have any eggs or milk or anything, Boca does make VEGAN burgers, but pretty much all the rest of their stuff isn't Vegan. Peace and Love, Dan
