i know there have been a few other threads about this in the past, but i just want to know if any women have used this product, and if so, what was your experience? can you feel it? is it easy to adjust? and how difficult was it to clean?

I've never heard of a Venus Cup before, are you talking about the DivaCup? It can be a little hard to get used to. I had a problem at first because I didn't trim the stem enough.

EDIT: I did find a "Venus Cup" that was an Athletic Cup... are you talking about that (Something tells me you're not, but I'll ask anyway)?

That's definitely understandable. I recommend it. It's way better than tampons. But like I said, if you don't trim it right, it "pokes" you and tricks you into thinking it's a terrible product.

thanks ladies! i read those threads and i just have one question left unanswered. where do you clean them? can you wash it in the sink, or do you have to specially do something? next year i am considering living in a communal environment again, and i'm not so sure the ladies would be too excited to see me washing my endometrium away in the bathroom sink. any thoughts or suggestions on that?

    (Tranny, not a lady)

Sink is fine, but like you said a lot of people aren't comfortable washing them in the sink when there are people around, so they just empty it and put it back in (provided they have clean hands). Some people empty it in the shower, and don't take it out the rest of the day (that depends on how often you shower and how much it holds for you individually, some people can have it in for days without it leaking, but it doesn't seem like it's the healthiest thing for you to me). I know one person who boils hers after her cycle.

I use mine and like it. Sometimes it leaks but I just use a liner for that. It holds a lot more than a tampon and you don't have to change it every four hours. You can put it in in the morning and not worry about it til you get home. If you must empty it publicly, just use the handicapped bathroom since they ususally have a sink in there.

    Also-
Even if you clean it with soap and water (you are only supposed to use gentle soap anyway) it will become a bit stained. I read a post on the internet and here it is:

    Diva Cup Cleaning Solution-
Mix half and half hydrogen peroxide and water in a plastic bag or cup or whatever. Place diva cup fully submerged overnight. The results are amazing Sparkling clean!
