Dude I've seen your pics, they looked quite neat to me for dreads. I know some employers have different opinions as to what neat is to us dreadlock folk Are you getting hassle from them or what?

Try using some aloe to tame the frizzies. Can you wear a hat or anything at work to cover up your baby dreads?

Find someone who does know what they're doing maybe, or teach yourself, if you like the neat look. You almost sound like you're apologizing that you like neat locks. No need to. It's your head....

And maybe aside from that, if you aren't already, give 100% in you job if you're worried about getting fired. Maybe that might help them to concentrate and think about what you're capable of and not what your hair looks like.

too much trying to controll them? hours of palm rolling and crochetting and fusseing with em?
my guess is your insistence on perfection is messing them up
how much do u fuss with em what do u do
your probably unraveling them by messing with em
stop it all and they will get better thats what dreads do they dread
but overworking them 1 can do dammage to the hair itself but 2 can cause alotta strss to the knots unraveling them
there is no such thing as perfect unifirm oerfect round dreads unless u get synthetics
u can make them semui tidy with lil work bvut too much work will only hurt you

and..a white marlety like any marley would embrace the natural, as a natural mystic..
i dont pay no attention to electronica trance crap so dont know of any near perfect dreasdies un thart genre to name yourself after but if your striving for the most unnatural look ya can get id suggest renaming yourself to fitr the image

sorry, it had to be sauid but not trying to be insuklting, just educating. your striving for an unatainable perfection and in the orocess ruining the sheer beauty of the processitself

let go let it grow and you will grow along with it
tame it wilth asloe but mostly leave it aklone

look lil stiff possibly waxy to me
also, they look at leasst 3 years old, and his hairs probly really tight curkls
    they also look overworkes

point is you cannot get your dreads to look like any other dreads at all dont bother tryong let your dreads be your dreads all dreads are meant to be unique

    well....1
i dont mess with them... jus did today.. ONCE
and as for comparing me to bob marley.,.. well lets see its just a screenname.. big f'in deal npot like im trying to be him!
i palm roll em only when i shower...*to help get water out... helps me*
anyways.. by perfect i mean nice n round not really wispy ends n not a big mess i dont mind a lil fuzzyness...
n ive seen plenty of pppl with dreads like that!

thnx for all the feed back ppl:)

then u dont want dreads all dreads are unique
dont palm roll em all the time thats hurting you..palm rolling is not good except very rarely if at all anfd very gently too

shake the watrer out then air dry or blow dry
    your hairs weakest when wet..
thats why palm riollings most effectibve then but also can do the most harm
stop it entirely for a month and you wuill amlmnost surely see a difference
now lets see some pics of what ya mean
but im almost certain your rolling backcombed hair back to being straight hair not giving it a chance to dread
u can stop paklmrolling a year then palm rioll and will do as good as doing it all year long but doing it too much does harm..especialy to young lelicate dreads

the best dreads are always the ones with the least effort put into wm, anmd thats the magic of dreads they need nothong..so give em what they need..nothonmg

I have been able to help the frizzies on the top go to a minimum. And my dreads are only two weeks old today and started with backcombing. I read it on here somewhere, but take a piece of wool clothing and when you get out of the shower, rub it around your head clockwise (I do not know why clockwise) for about a minute. Tons of the hairs on the top will likely cling to the dreads.

Another way I have been able to help individual dreads with loose hairs... I took a piece of 100% wool yarn and wrapped it loosely around a dread... not to cover the entire hair by any means. I have left these in for only a day and a half and a lot of the loose hairs have been absorbed into the dread. It's far from perfect, but I bet you will be much happier considering hte look you are going for.

I am not an expert, but this is what has worked for me in my short dready time. Ok and call me paranoid, but I have taken to sleeping on a wool sweater for a pillow.

    I hope this helps

Thanks for the compliments. :D But rest assured that I have the same "hair falling out" as you do. I know exactly what you are talking about. I think it may be times like these that curly hair may have an advantage, but that's only a guess. My picture quality is poor, but I have the nest as well.

But, I don't have to go to work or worry about my appearance in the slightest (I work at home) so I'm now embracing the halo. lol
