Hey everyone! Ron Savoy just posted the Vision Council Concensus on agr-e-mail NEW MEXICO!!!!!!! Yea! me'n'JuJu can make it home for our 20th anniversary remarriage!
Goodness, I guess the east coast doesn't matter...We have beautiful landscapes. I will try to make it home especially since I wasn't able to make it to WY this year.
We are scouting for the Nationals next year. Common Sense Cafe will be a scouting kitchen. See you on the land for seed camp. Peace. Lost&Found
So New Mexico it is!!! :cheers2: I'm SOOO glad we won't be out East! Eastern gatherings seem to have the most poorly developed sites, in my opinion at least... besides, unless you like really old buildings the East coast has very little 'family friendly' activities... :hat:
I'll be there on or around the 21st of June with my wife.. We're gonna be a part of Musical Veggie's Seed Camp... So we'll see you there Family!
While I disagree that the East Coast has no amazing places (we have lots!!!), New Mexico sounds nice.
It's not that the East has no amazing places, it's that the east is crowded and usable sites just aren't as common as out west.
We will be scouting for a site next year. Common Sense Cafe will be a scout/seed camp cafe. Hope to see you out there in the woods. Peace. Lost&Found
Do we have a general area yet? Nm gets awful hot in the desert areas that time of year. Was down by Deming last Oct. and still 85 - 90 during the day. NW corner has nice forests.
I used to live in VT. Now there are some areas that would work. Up near Glover or somewhere in the Green Mts. Haven't been out that way in awhile. I've also tramped around NM and there are also good spots to have it. We need a national rainbow bus lines for people who are on the opposite side of the country and have no transportation. I can get the bus/driver if people want to help put funds away for diesel. just a thought. Peace
So Wyoming was my first time that far west, but I can say the climate over there vs. over here, in the east was freakin way awesome, my clothes weren't stickin to my leg the whole damn time. it was way spread out which has its ups and downs, the mosquitoes sucked though. I'm glad it's in New Mexico, and as far as the forest thing goes bumble, I think a new mexico forest is a way different picture than a VT NH or Maine forest. More Jashua Trees more rock and i'm guessing it would be more of a sandy soil.
A-HO for New Mexico! I will be there with the Reading Rainbow Library, since we didn't get it together for Wyoming, and I stayed home watering the gardens! See you there!
